ОтветитьHello from Brazil 🇧🇷
ОтветитьUf , kakaya surovaya zima.
ОтветитьIn general, snow for us kids llmeant a day or so off from schools. But unlike some places in the midwest or norman rockwell American towns...this was NYC and so snow meant the opportunity for mayhem. and of course,
SNOW BOMBS....when we saw
it snowing hard we would collect snow from roof tops or fire escapes and make hard ice balls by spraying water on snow ball and leaving them out overnight so they would turn into heavy ICE balls! Which we would hurl at other
kids or rival gangs in a "snow ball" wars. And this being Brooklyn, we took it a step further, we would imbed cherry bombs or M-80's inside the ice balls. Then at a certain point in ice ball fights/riots
we would light one up and throw it at our opponents sending ice scrapnel into the rival gang position. We would also wait on roofs and wait for rivals or groups of stuck up girls and throw an ice bomb down on them! It was tremendous fun to see them run in all directions screaming (and cursing) when it went off. There were also lots of kool car accident for us to look over and comment on. Hey, this was Brooklyn, like I said, this wasnt no kind of "calming" norman rockwell America scene folks.....
My experiances with Snowstorms was very different. I was born in Brooklyn NY in 1947 and in 1948 there was the huge 1948 NYC blizzatd and Im told we were all snowed in for days. People in Bklyn and Queens had to burn their garbage in the middle of the streets as a sanitary measure untill garbage collections could continue. Food ran out in many households.

Ответить@stardustvibes ... hello from Baltimore Maryland 😊
ОтветитьI live in Philly and sometimes we get alot of snow. One thing I do notice are the sounds is so quiet and when you walk outside people are bundled up holding a tea or coffee and staying clear of black ice. The once filled streets with fiends and dealers have somehow become an empty avenue of snow and trolly track marks. I feel good knowing even they are inside and somehow warm. The chill that numbs your lips and face. The fuzzy blankets on the couch just because. The slippers and robe sets. My man cuddling with me while the window is open during the snow storm so we can feel the chill and hear the howling of the wind. The rock salt staining everything! Cats sleeping under cars to stay warm, that one glove a kid lost in the fresh snow and my favorite the blue shadow over the city when it snows! I’m a lover of fall but winter is my weakness ❄️
ОтветитьBack again from the uk sleep sweet my peeps .....hope we all manage to catch some zzz,s tonight night 😴
