Had you done a comparison 150 vs 2511? What did you find out?

No use to compare your saw
to the Echo. There are 500 channels
That has that.
Put the 151TC E COMPARE TO THE 201 tc

the problem now with even the best premium gas station gas to make a mix is that it has a lot of toxic filler like benzoyl and and Vinyl that also are very toxic, ( started happening oddly just before the pandemic). the spark arrestor getting plugged is not a design flaw, yet is letting us know what also is getting also in to our lungs. I have to prune thousands of large cherry trees and realized that with so many cuts and exhaust was making me sick. Yes the pre mix is expensive to use, but also will help avoid a very expensive repair to the piston. I also have to use the spark arrestor because at times I am working near public forests. what I did was invest in the 161 T electric that is heavier, and lacks torque for certain cuts, yet has the speed and balance for more fine punning. yet when you have your health with no exhaust and not the loud sound even with ear protection your going to stay productive and happy. I just use the 150 now only for 30 min a day, rather than for 6 hours like in the past.

Mine brand new they over tightened the chain wouldn’t hardly run. So I go to loosen the bar nut and they over tightened that too. It stripped the bar stud because it goes into shitty plastic threads. Horrible design and I’m a mechanical engineer. They at least should have had a metal insert for the stud threads. Took it back to where I bought it. They epoxied the stud in. I honestly just wanted a new one since the threads are screwed now. I wish it was designed like the larger saws with 2 bar nuts.

Older tree guy from Ohio here. So I've been running the echo 2511t for couple years now. But liken these light weight saws alot, and wanting to try something else. Should I buy or save my money? I also thought of husky 525.

I got around to doing this modification. It was a beautiful song she sang to breathe better. Mine had no spark arrester screen, but there was quite a bit of accumulated carbon on all the surfaces of the reflector plate. I opened up the opening and the saw ran so nice 👍

Rich and maybe heavy on the oil? Stihl is 50 to 1 where some other equipment is 40:1 so the stihl needs a little less oil. On mine I run the stihl synthetic oil which also may help and as a precaution I always use 90+ octane fuel. I never have a problem with that combo though and if it cost me an extra buck here or there its not a big deal for less hassle. :^)

Love to see not everyone is in such desperation to work the weekends. You have an excellent business model if, most of the time, you’re able to spend time with family on the weekends. I would like to know how well the 2511 holds up. Because I would imagine that would be the factor in the price difference. The echo is good saw but will it rattle apart over time. I do think it’s necessary to have a smaller pruning saw. Unless you’re lucky enough to only accept removals. (August). Btw you are a class act. Educated, well spoken, pacified. You should have many more subs.

That saw was definitely too rich. Need to see it in some wood. Hopefully you saved the screen, in case you need to use the saw in very dry conditions or you get a government contract where the screens have to be in place.

Nice vid again dude 👍
I’ve got the 150 before I got the echo. Over here you can’t take the deflector off so I banged a 10mm hole in the side and trimmed the chain cover. Livens them up big time! The trouble I’ve had with mine is the oiler, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t! If I was to compare the stihl and the echo I’d say the stihl is a nice little saw, the echo is an angry little saw :)
