Does embedding GBP photos with keywords and the geotag of where the photos were taken help rank you higher in the Google Maps?

My business was ranked #1 before my page was reported and taken down , after submitting my paper work to Google I got my page back but now im not even top 20 in my area….. I have over 20 5/5 reviews and ratings, other companies in the same área and same industry only have 1-7 reviews and mostly 3-4/5 star rating…… any idea on how i can get back on top 1.?

I have my own Business Email ([email protected]) on my website, but on Google My Business Profile I have my Business Gmail ([email protected]). 

Is it possible to change the Google My Business Profile Gmail to my Business ([email protected]) Email? 

I do not want my website with a gmail in the footer.

How does that affect SEO?

What if I’m a national business? Same efforts?

Do you need a website to rank in the 3 pack? Or can you use free gmb website? Can you link build to gmb or gmb website?

Question: A competitor who is also just starting a similar business in my town shows up on google in the 3-pack, doesn't have an address, no other social media accounts, bare basic website, no reviews. I have no address either (service), have a business FB page, very comprehensive website, and 2 google reviews. I cannot figure out how the competitor is there and staying there! (She is in the first spot, with 2 established businesses that are related, but not even similar to our key word search also show up in the box, but not me.) Any thoughts on why this is so? THANKS

Great video Wes, loads of stuff to work on over the holidays. "Proximity" is my main frustration with GMB, I run a gardening/exterior cleaning biz and most of my work is in Dublin which is about 50km away from me, this makes it hard to compete with businesses based in the city which will always rank higher due to this factor.

Great video! Some say that using NAP on site footer has the same effect as embedding the map, and in my opinion the first option looks nicer.
