Me: (taking notes) 😅 Omg I really need to try the SLIP thing. Funny enough I forgot the aluminum foil but I did get wire 🤣 I got a quick question...I don't have a drill to twist the wire so can I still use it as is? Like maybe doubling the wire and using masking tape so the wires stay together? Or will using the tape be an issue when covering it with clay? Omg I said 1 question and I think I threw 3 in here. 🤣
ОтветитьLovely creative and your tips are spot on!!
Ответитьthe ‘slip’ makes alot of sense when you explain it in the vid. I’ve struggled with cracks but I’m getting better :)
ОтветитьI've had multiple unopened blocks of Das sitting in my cupboard for years. Haven't known what to do with it after my initial rush of enthusiasm. Now you've got me thinking. Subbed!
ОтветитьHej! I like your video! I want to start doing my plate for rings or something but I don't know what I should use lake a last cover? Transparent acryl? Also, I want to make some bowls for the fruits in the kitchen or some cups - it is possible to make them with self-hardening clay?
ОтветитьGreat ideas! Thank you very much!
Ответитьdid anyone realize the background music is of corn hub
Ответитьthese really are superb tips.
ОтветитьI almost never, ever comment on videos. But this one was so spot on on what I was looking for that I had to! Good video! 😎👉👉
ОтветитьQuestion: should you hollow air clay pieces (e.g. small animals)?
ОтветитьTo the person reading this: Even though I don’t know you, I wish you the best of what life has to offer ❤
ОтветитьI mean those tools are pretty cheap, like saving that money not making you rich xD
Ответить🌿🧠🌿All🌿
ОтветитьYour scoring and slip tip is just what I needed!!
Ответить👍Thanks for an informative video. Do you recommend DAS as the best air dry clay to use? Need something durable that will last and not cracked over time...
ОтветитьMy toxic trait is that I think I could do this
ОтветитьI live the video. I am totally subscribing ❤
ОтветитьExcellent video
ОтветитьThis video was clear and your instructions are very easy to follow. I have a question… I made a small flower last night before watching your video. This morning I noticed some weakness and cracking in it. Can I now go back and use slip to repair? Also, would my next step be to paint with acrylic paint and then varnish or to seal and harden with varnish and then paint and seal again? Thank-you!
ОтветитьОчень подробно и информативно. Спасибо!
ОтветитьThank you. Very beautiful. I learned a few things today
ОтветитьThank you for you time and effort with this tutorial. I truly appreciate it. You’ve convinced me not to waste my time with air dry clay and stick with oven baked. This is just way too fragile/volatile of a medium for me to get serious with 😂
ОтветитьHow fun is this medium! What inspired your sculpture? I like your diy tool tips because it just adds to the creativity. And love the accent!
ОтветитьMaybe I missed it, but once it’s sealed what’s the best type of paint to use after? Acrylic?
ОтветитьMost helpful tips: Popsicle stick tools, dry on cooking rack, and slow dry with a loose plastic covering. I feel fully prepared. :)
ОтветитьThank you for this, this was very helpful.
ОтветитьWait 10 dollars? In romania its 20 leis that means 42 leis if that how much it costs
ОтветитьCouldn't find any ear dry clay.
ОтветитьI’m new to air dry clay and I’m watching a lot of videos on how to use it. This is the best video I have seen so far! You are very clear and thorough! Thanks for the tips 😊
ОтветитьExcellent video......made me more confident about working wirh clay again. Thank you
Ответить👋 I'm new here and have subscribed to your channel today! Wow I love your channel and how your to the point with no unnecessary talking for half the video! Your tips are fab and i now cant wait to get crafting using your airdry clay and making my tools! Thank you for sharing your God given gifts with us all! Im now looking forward to seeing all your other videos! God bless you abundantly in Jesus precious name and much love from me too! 👋 ❤🙏✝️❤️😘😊
ОтветитьVery helpful thank you - Probably a stupid question but the armature you use - do you leave that in the finished sculpture or remove it ?
ОтветитьI love that you show how to DIY your own tools out of darn near anything. I'm a giant DIY with recycled materials kind of gal.
ОтветитьThank you for tour excellent tutorial - I did a pottery course amdny years ago, and am keen to try using air dry clay.
ОтветитьThe slip tip...
ОтветитьAs someone who wants to start sculpting just as a hobby your tips were incredibly helpful!! Thank you so much!
ОтветитьWhat an awesome instructional for noobs like me. Thank you so much Sofia, this is exactly the guidance I needed. You rock!!!
Ответитьso interesting, thanks for the tutorial
Ответитьloved this tutorial 🎉
ОтветитьI have 2 das clay 1.white 2.gray
ОтветитьFirst of all thank you for the amazing and informative vid! I've been making a rather big armor for a figurine and wondering whether to use air drying clay or the one that has to be baked. The question I have about air drying clay is... Naturally I cannot work on it on separate days right? If it is a large project that I can't expect to complete in an afternoon, should I use another material or is there a way to be able to mold the clay for longer, maybe reactivating it with something?
ОтветитьThank you for sharing ❤️ 🙏
ОтветитьI have been making characters with this clay because i cant find anything else where i live, the characters arent bad looking but the time constraint i have to finish it is really really limiting, how can i "store" clay so that it doesnt dry out?I have tried putting it in water but it makes it very hard to work with.
ОтветитьCan you make outdoor sculptures with air dry clay at all? If so, what do you have to to do?
ОтветитьHi! I loved the video, I learned a lot. Small question, I'm trying to make a base for an animal doll (I'm trying to make a realistic pokemon), would you recommend I use das for the base? it's way cheaper than polymer clay and it is a financially "safer" option in case I mess it up since I'm a beginner in this craft. I want to create a body and then cover it with a faux fur fabric.
ОтветитьThank you for making this!!
It has helped me so much!
I don’t feel so lost as I’m a beginner
I loved every bit of this video!! So clear! Can wait to start a project
ОтветитьHi friends, SIO-2 is the best air dry clay I have ever used. Enjoy!
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks. I liked your tip about what tools you'd have at a minimum.
ОтветитьI just started with air dry clay and found this video SO helpful!! Thank you for sharing so many tips that are truly going to make a difference for this absolute beginner <3
