They are also on the Mustang. I am having issues with mine. I have two swollen lugs to get off yet. Mine are also 21mm a 21.5. I'll have to try a 22mm

Had the same trouble with my wife's 2017 Escape. The dam things were so swelled that I had to beat a 21 mm socket on to them and destroy the lug nut. Ford knows about this problem and refuses to remedy the nuts. And FMC wonders why they keep losing billions of dollars a year. A once great automaker gone down the tubes of incompetency.

there is a video that shows how to chisel off the soft aluminum outer shell with a screwdriver/s and hammer. once you hammer a screwdriver head thru the aluminum, you can then pry the aluminum soft shell completely off the lug nut while it is still tight on the wheel. then the exposed inner steel lug nut core is removed with a hex or 12 point 18mm socket, is one piece, and won't be deformed by impact wrench wielding mechanics. just remember to carry a 18mm socket wrench in your car, as your original 19mm tire wrench is too big for the "denuded" core

once you remove the outer aluminum shell, why can't you put the orignal "nuded" lug nuts back on with an 18mm socket? as they are now one piece lug nuts, just not as sexy and shiny as the original aluminum covered, two-piece [of $hit] ones??

It's not just Ford. GM too in my experience.

Having the same problem with a 2014 C-Max. Some of the hex's are actually twisted from the factory. Not the first Ford OEM part that is worse than a far-eastern knock off!

I have a 2019 Ford Mustang what part number would you suggest from gorilla brand? Thank you so much! The dealership said something about a flange. Does that make a difference from your part? I need a M14 x 1.5 Thanks!

Using a torque wrench to loosen nuts is cringe worthy.

Great video. Isn't the torque for the F150 lug nuts supposed to be 150 ft/lbs?

You could have just screwed the lug back on and wiggled the nut off the socket then hand removed the lug. Being a Ford tech sucks 😂

you literally had a breaker bar on the ground and yet you used the torque wrench to remove the lug nut.
