I watched your most recent episode about Gary's engine. It seemed you had to remove a lot of metal from both the head and the deck. Is that going to cause higher compression and be a problem? If so, is there a way of compensating for that? Maybe using a thicker gasket or .....?

GOOD STUFF!! I really enjoy watching a Craftsman at work! Thank you for taking the time to video all that you do and with such detail.
For us old school machinists..............No detail is too small. 😉😎

Love that finish after things are milled, they are a testimony of a good surface finish. Looking forward to the next videos!

I’m looking forward to seeing the crack repairs. I learned a lot watching the last block you fixed.
I love those military wreckers. The one my Dad and I had was always blowing the lines cause they were old and dry rotted and we only had enough money to fix one at a time. The truck was super handy to have though.

I wonder if you will need to sleeve the bores?

If the block deck is this warped, I wonder how far out of line the main bearing bores are.

It must be so cool to have own milling machine able to deck the block and head. I always have some back and forth with machining shop.
