Robotex Lobster UM46 best wrench ever
ОтветитьLost my dad in 2020 and I inherited his massive stockpile of old craftsman tools. My buddy’s at work of course all have the newest snappy stuff, and I’m happy for them, but I’m proud to still be rocking my father’s old tools and his favorite tool brand.
ОтветитьYou forgot the Bahco.
ОтветитьHe be bias with us products y’all 😂
ОтветитьI never owned tools 😢
ОтветитьThe old crescent from the 60s 70s and 80s are precision, & most others that weren't chrome plated, no slop or play at all
ОтветитьAny videos out there testing they ASK adjustable?
ОтветитьWhen I was working high ropes rescue, I carried a Channellock 6" Code Blue WideAzz that I picked up on sale. The company I worked for were a bunch of penny pinchers & bean counters that only gave us cheapo 4" Pittsburg adjustable wrenches, and the crews I worked with were always asking to borrow mine. Whenever I had to do major course repairs (at least that didn't require torquing to spec), I had a same type of wrench in 10". I know Project Farm had it in the middle of the pack, but for me, the fit and finish for the price you pay was just unbeatable.
4 years after leaving that job, they both still live in my trunk as part of the away bag. The 6" is particularly useful for the turnbuckle rig I use for roadside serpentine belt repairs I always end up doing on my friends' beater dailies.
What do you do with all the products you test after you are done? Yard sale?
ОтветитьBro, spain loves making farm wrenches lol
ОтветитьGreat product review.
Would be really nice to see a test between the top 4 in this review and compare them to 'Locking Adjustable Wrenches' to see which is better.
I need an adjustable and I found some of those craftsmen USA models on eBay too, I’m about to plunge and order up a few
ОтветитьSo sad that craftsman ain’t what it used to be. I used to love that brand when it was US made. Now it’s not much different from other cheap Chinese brands.
ОтветитьI will definitely invest in that Crescent one, for direction arrow 😂 👊
ОтветитьAn adjustable wrench is always better than no wrench at all. Really liked the old Craftsman and Crescent wrenches. New stuff isn't much to brag about.
ОтветитьThese wrenches would generally be used on hex nuts (I would have thought). Jaw length was mentioned a few times, but as long as the jaws are long enough to fully take in the largest nut that can fit in the wrench, why would they need to be any longer?
ОтветитьMy 60s / 70s BAHCO Adjustable Made in Sweden (I inherited it) performs very well for me. I've even used a mallet on it to free seized nuts on vehicle suspensions. I keep the tension on the thumbscrew when using a mallet. The other nice thing about my vintage BAHCO is how thin it is vs. Other wrenches / spanners in my toolbox.
Tools made in China and India are poor quality; I avoid them like the plague because they can damage components and make your life very difficult.
Please review pipe wrenches!!!
ОтветитьI use a monument adjustable for what I do. They are incredible. I’m curious to see how they would stand up to this test. Great video
ОтветитьOff to the eBay in the used tools section for old Sears tools.
ОтветитьA moment of silence for the vintage Craftsman please.
ОтветитьNo snap on?
ОтветитьAwesome testing as usual. I wonder how the Snap-On Flank Drive adjustable would have fared in the test? Perhaps a future test with the top 5 from this test?
ОтветитьLove this channel. Always like to use as a good reference. Saw some Kleins in Lowes today and had a 2 pack, the 10” and 6” for $29. They have same part number as your 10” but has an orange rubberized handle and says made in S. Korea. They caught my eye because they looked much more precise than some others I’ve had in the past (I have some black Stanley’s from a while ago with a sort of plastic handle that ironically seemed similar) and so I bought them. I was thinking of getting the Milwaukee set when happen to drop by Depot, but maybe I’ll just give these a try
ОтветитьLove your tests, you do mostly the best practice to exclude variables so the comparison is about the best one would get. With THIS Test however, I am so disappointed that the USA made Ducks Nuts of the 6 Point, 12 Point and Spline test being the Wright was Not here? I was going to send my money to Wright but now I have a question left unanswered.
ОтветитьIs anyone else upset that he destroyed the vintage craftsman? It didn't deserve that😢
ОтветитьIrwin makes some great underrated tools
ОтветитьAwesome! Did not test my usual uses, hammer, and hillbilly sheet metal brake😊
ОтветитьYou broke the vintage craftsman
ОтветитьYou really should have bought a Wright adjustable wrench!...they are USA made and brand new!..Would have been a great comparison!.
Ответитьhow about returning the failed for a replacement that was the good thing with Sears replace tool no problem
Ответитьi have one that"s made to use with larger fasteners really handy
Ответитьi have one that takes larger size nuts & bolts the jaws open up larger than others with the same size handle
ОтветитьHow about a wide mouth adjustable wrench review?
ОтветитьA Japanese brand called Top Kogyo make an adjustable with the least amount of slop in the world.
ОтветитьThose Spain made in the Irega plant are some of the best bang for the buck.
ОтветитьI believe that the wrenches should be turned the other way
ОтветитьAs a kid I always thought all adjustable wrenches were called Cresent wrenches.then an old timer in my union called it a Westcott.
ОтветитьI have 10" Milwaukee and 8" Swedish made Bahco. Their minimal jaw slop makes it far better than any cheap wrench I have ever used.
Ответитьanyone else kind of sad to see the old Craftsman wrench destroyed? Good thing I have at least 2 in my box somewhere. Great job as usual!
Ответитьngl i shed a tear when you broke the US made Craftsman.
ОтветитьCan't believe you broke a vintage craftsman
ОтветитьChina sears sucks
ОтветитьI agree, for a sub $20 adjustable wrench, hard to argue with the good ole Crescent Wrench.
Ответитьbinge watching every video lol. one thing I notice on chinese stuff, IF you can buy it in store like Husky etc, you can pick up 4-5 of the same tool and all different tolerances. Had to go through a few needle nose pliers to pick up a cheap set that actually closed all the way
ОтветитьMADE IN AMERICA 🇺🇸
ОтветитьHey Todd - Please consider a test of "self-adjusting wrenches" - many thanks!
