Facts and philosophy can never marry except in the world of such commentator's. There is no "soul" in man which is a living entity besides the life he lives with himself, daily. In other words, the soul is the whole person. Holy Scripture tells us this in Gen.2:7... "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Mind your grammar... "man" and "soul" are synonyms as taught by God when He made man. Otherwise, Dualism is taught by God, which He does is not. Furthermore, teaching the "soul," being an entity all to itself, lives past the grave, entangles a person into Satan's lie that... "You will not surely die." This is from whom the philosophy springs that the soul of man, which is some spiritual entity residing in the composite make up of man, is eternal. Being man is made of dust, elsewhere translated "dirt," philosophers which think they are theologians, made dirt eternal. This, they must do in order for their kind of science to give credence to the Big Bang... their self-created universe and man who self-created from it, giving himself life through unexplainable cosmic forces rather than from the Living God.

Every soul must taste death nothing is eternal in this life but there is a life after this and the Day of Judgment exist where every human and the jinns will be judged. The deeds of everyone will be put on a precise scale and each one will be judged according of one's deeds. Then there will be the eternal life where everyone will be living. I'm Jewish and I genuinely don't care for the afterlife. It plays little to no part in our religion. If I believe in anything, I think reincarnation would be the most likely "form" of an afterlife.

....hmmm.... I would just like to gently and respectfully suggest that human beings don't really know for a fact if we are the only species that knows "our time is limited" ....After all we are animals too and there are many animals that mourn the deaths of their kin and friends and there are so many filmed examples that I don't know why human beings resist accepting this (Elephants even seem to have funerals and grave yards).....but on a personal level my cat and dog were inseperable and when my dog Lolly died not only did my cat Kottr mourn ,but he refused to step inside for 3 years instead keeping watch over Lolly's grave beneath the Rose tree ; even sleeping there in terrible weather and it was so heartbreaking to see her suffering in the rain that we had to build a little shelter there. It was only when we moved house did he come inside again...... 3 weeks before his own death , my cat Kottr took to sleeping on my son with autisms bed and laying next to his head patting his face with her paw and following him around . I had actually bought Kottr for him in the hope he would start talking because he loved cats (and yes ; he did talk and beautifully too !) .....this behaviour was so unusual for our cat Kottr (who by choice always slept by the back glass door) that my son actually asked me if Kottr was saying goodbye and would die soon. I was shocked because I had suddenly started wondering the same thing. The morning my cat died he climbed off my sons bed and called to me . I sat down on the floor and he climbed onto my lap and was very vocal as if he was trying to talk and then started purring and pressing his face onto mine . He then walked down the hall and tried to get back on my sons bed. I helped him up and he gazed at my sons face for several minutes and then lay down beside him and died........I can't prove he knew he was going to die but if you had been with me , you too would have seen it and you would have seen that in some way our cat tried to say goodbye and to express his love.....

These are two gaping mistakes often committed by the mainstream critics as far as the knowledge of Christianity goes.

First, Christianity is not about the offer of immortality. Eternal life in Christian revelation is not equivalent to immortality, as such the angelic entities are not referred to be having eternal life, although they are immortal. Eternal life as in the words of the apostle John, is the experience of divine life through Christ. It is a state of awareness enabled by divine power to appropriate knowledge of God and Christ, and to enjoy this divine grace through Christ. Check John 17:3 and 1 John 1:2. It is an unbreakable bond formed between the person and God, such that the person participates in divine affections, tastes and thoughts activated by the power of the Spirit of God through Christ in the believing person. This is not mere immortality.

The second mistake is to equate biblical history of human genealogy with the biblical history of creation. The Bible speaks about the earth being created but does not reveal its date. The earth appears in a chaotic state in Genesis 1:2 and then the seven day work begins. But again, the Bible does not mention about the date of the stars, as to when they were created. It just mentions that they were created but does not reveal the date. It is also a mistake to feature man's creation on the seventh day. The Bible makes mention of the creation of man in both Genesis 1 (during the sixth day) and Genesis 2 (after the seventh day).

In Genesis 1 (during the sixth day), only divine counsels about man are revealed and this includes the counsel to create man (verse 26), his stature of reflection as to be the image of God (verse 27), his vice regency with respect to the natural world (verse 28). These are divine counsels regarding man, his identity and his place in the world of creation, but this does not mean, that man is created then. The reason why we find these counsels appear in Genesis 1 (during the sixth day), is to distinguish the place and identity of Man as opposed to what was created on the sixth day i.e the beasts and the animal life. The divine counsel of man was revealed in order for man to be distinguished from the rest of the animal creation. Man according to divine counsels occupies a unique place, completely apart from the animal order.

In Genesis 2:7, man's creation is described (not merely in connection with divine counsel and plan), but in its actual unfolding. But this is mentioned after the completion of the seventh day and the Sabbath rest. Sabbath rest (seventh day) marks the completion of creation but man's creation comes after nature - he has a unique print as such, he is made in the image of God.

The ideation in the original Hebrew (Bible) has not been properly appreciated, and this has resulted in confusing the sixth day with man's creation. But the Bible never mentions the date when man was created. It is true he was created after the seventh day, but there is no specific date.

For sure, the earth and the stars are created. But no date is mentioned. For sure, the life in all its animal extension was completed by the sixth day and the creation rest was concluded in the seventh day. But man's creation comes after this , but when it is not revealed.

The error is to quantify man's history with the history of the seven days, and the other error is to equate the first day of the created light with that of the creation of the earth. The history of man's generations comes to about 6000 but this is not the date of Earth's creation.

That some among us equate the processes of rational inquiry with belief in god(s) is disheartening. The process of questioning, proposing answers, testing proposed answers draws sharp lines between what is known and what is not yet known. No one has been killed for challenging string theory, because challenge is invited. But many have been tortured and killed for challenging the dogmas of religion. The answer that cannot be questioned OR the question with no answer (yet).

It takes just as much faith, if not more so, to believe in the Big Bang Theory and other scientific theories than believing in an all-powerful creator. But knock yourself out if you believe all matter in the universe came from an infinitesimal small singularity that exploded. And even if that were fact, where did that singularity come from originally? When the scientific theories start to not make sense, you too can create dark matter, dark energy, anti-particles, and additional dimensions to explain it. No scientific theory or equation can ever explain the origins of our sentience, sapience, and conscience.
