What would happen if you simply refused to be lifted with those ropes on the helicopter? I'd sign a waiver, honestly, I wouldn't want to get on it, I'd rather stay with the crew than be held by ropes and lifted hundreds of feet in the air.

Viking sky ship was able to start only 1 engine as I recall. Plus what I start learning about it now, is it's pretty smaller ship even compared to princess crown class ships. So with that being said I'm not looking forward for now to sail on viking especially their fares are expensive

Regarding the first clip, the best lifeboat is the ship. If you're in heavy weather, it's going to be worse in a small lifeboat than it is in a big cruise ship, so unless it's actually sinking, on fire or on the rocks, it's better not to abandon ship. Fortunately in this case helicopters were able to take passengers off.
