Wonderful scenery…thanks for enduring such discomfort for the scenic views!

I sympathise, the times I've stood with cramp in my hand & knees aching cos I'm filming something! Not to this extreme though, I couldn't have done that, I'm too old now! Lovely journey & scenes, something I'll never do so thank you for taking me to Norway! Got some Viking DNA according to my 'Ancestry' test! 😉 (12% Scottish too, chuffed about that hahah). Trying to get my mum into watching your vids!

Hi Steve , further to my previous comment on Finse, if you stand on the station platform and face South you can see the Hardanger Jokulen (Glacier) with the visible “Blue Ice” which Hammond Innes featured in his novel of the same name., worth a read.

Steve Finse is where Capt Scot took his team to train prior to the South Pole expedition. On the station platform is a slice of granite with the names of those who died at the Pole etched upon it.

We did this journey recently and I should thank you for this beautiful video, which you have made taking a lot of trouble. Your video helped me redo this amazing train journey, once again!

In 1999 we travelled Oslo to Bergen by train. When we booked the lady said “you are going to Bergen for three hours and coming back???” We replied, “it’s one of the best train journeys in Europe”. You have just confirmed this

If Steve will permit, anyone who likes this video, have a look at 'RailCowGirl'. She is a Norwegian train driver who has posted 'drivers eye' videos of her journeys. This is one of her routes. Steve's videos are popular with the readership of a newsletter linked to the RCG channel. (of which I am one)

Hi, i took this line in 1976 and 1977 it's the most beautiful line in Norway, on this line it's possible to take the train from Myrdal to Flam and after the ferry.
