why is this sooo complicated? I just want some wheels 😭
ОтветитьMe coming to this video after selling my 8j et35 wheels that needed 5mm spacers, and now i got 8j with 60 offset and they hit the calipers even with 10mm spacers
Mathematically I'd need 25-30mm spacers to be a perfect fitment, realistically I'd have no idea without this video because im going for the drippy fitment
Ps: i have an opel astra bertone on coilovers
I have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata LX, stock tires width is 6.5, I found a set of wheels that I love but the width is 8, how wide can I go before it starts like rubbing? They’re also 18inches and stock are 17
ОтветитьJust simple and great video so thanks alot!
going to get some wheels to Volvo 240 and hope to get the fitment what i'm after :)
Technical Gure at work❤
ОтветитьAbsolutely awesome thank you
ОтветитьThis is perfect for first timers trying to learn about wheels and fitment! I've watched about 20 other videos and everyone just talks like everyone was a professional wheel installer. All they had to do was show us step by step examples as this guy did and what they rambled on would make since. Thank to this guy!
ОтветитьEyeball it, put em on, pray. Roll your fenders or just buy the right size they recommend
Ответитьjust get the exact same size whats already on your car and you will have no problems
Ответитьexcellent video right here! this will give me a peace of mind knowing what wheel specs i will begetting. this is much much appreciated. here is my question: my suspesion is old and most probably worn out. planning on getting a bc racing br for a daily 2005 4dr 325i. should i measure now or should i wait until the coilovers are installed and then measure? thanks!
Ответитьu a good teacher
Ответитьi need this video like yesterday. thanks
ОтветитьThe technician service manual for my 2022 WRX says that the wheel "Inset" is 55mm (4.5"). What exactly is "Inset?" BC ppl seem to use the term "Offset" and then either positive or negative. But other references say it's actually called "Outset" and "Inset." So i guess Inset means positive and outset means negative offset. ???
Ответитьfinally!!! I understand.fac
ОтветитьFantastic! This is exactly what I want!
ОтветитьJesus Christ…I thought I was looking at a T-Rex 🦖 dong in that first picture!! Gallery check! 😂👍🏻
ОтветитьBro, I have a 99 GS300 and plan on going aggressive, And I have to say you couldn’t of made this any easier to figure out. This is nothing like my Yukon where I lift it 9 inches and throw some 24x 14’s with 40s on it and call it a day with minor trimming 😂😂 this shit is technical. Thanks again!
ОтветитьThere's a guy on tictok that makes a plastic tool that mounts to your hub and measure differant sizes without test fitting. It's nice to dumb it up and be visual before you but Tim's and tires
ОтветитьWhat he say
ОтветитьSo now how does the tire size especially sidewall height factor in?
ОтветитьI’m a bit late to this video, but I have a widebody on my car, so all my numbers are much more crazy, and I’m lost
ОтветитьThanks a lot my brother, this wheel off set explanation is clear as the water.
I’m planning to get some wheels and this is very helpful!
Thanks again!👍🏽
+44 mark hoppus would approve!
ОтветитьAmazing Video. Very well Educated 👍
ОтветитьWish I saw this before just buying 8 wide 0 offset and praying my poke wasn’t like a lifted truck😂
ОтветитьYES! this is the video I was looking for to see if I can run the rims I want on my camry. This should be the first video everyone watches before buying any rims.
Ответитьhow about measuring the caliper clearance especially if you have a bbk.
ОтветитьWhen final offset is found with the backspacing of the weel(7inch)..Does it mean that your setup will be conservative,or flush,etc...?
Ответитьwhat determines whether or not you rub your tires in full lock
ОтветитьThis video is so useful thank you sooo muchhh
ОтветитьJust bought some wheels from Fitment. Let's hope they get here nice a safe. Look for my car in the gallery once she's all done. It's a Black 86 with bronze konig 17x8 freeforms. Coilovers also.
ОтветитьWell explained. Thanks.
ОтветитьIs it bad to find your wheels based on offset? For example, if I want a deep lip rim, is it bad to search for rims with a very low offset and then try to match up the rest of the dimensions?
ОтветитьI just wanted to know how to find a good fit for my car and now I’m just even more confused lmao
ОтветитьThis was super helpful!
I have one question and I hope you can clear this up.
Still unsure how to determine the maximum negative offset based the backspacing.
Could you technically go as low as a +20 offset with your current setup on your FRS? Would a thinner wheel allow you to go even lower?
ESRS ARE REPS
ОтветитьI’m guessing I should get my bags first?
ОтветитьWhat if I have a widebody g35 with wheel spacers lmao
Ответитьwhen you pick up a clean car but you can fit your whole head in the fender still and all the aftermarket parts on the car are no name brands from japan you end up here.
ОтветитьThanks for breaking this down for a simpleton like myself I actually just learned a whole lot.
ОтветитьAfter watching this I still have no idea what they're talking about 🤣
ОтветитьI have a 2015 Honda Accord looking for the right type I keep hearing about chrome lip silver any help I was thinking about eBay your thoughts
Ответитьextremely new to this, i just bought a 97 ls 400 this past friday and i gotta say if learned more in this video than probably ten previous videos from other channels
ОтветитьThanks for the video. This information is very important to know which rin to buy correctly!
Ответитьwill the backspacing be the same in the front and rear??
Ответитьwould i get suspension or wheels first
ОтветитьThis helped me a lot.
Ответитьmy brain blew up watching this
