8k will always be a waste of time. We've known for over a decade that people can't even see a difference between 4x and 1080p at normal viewing distances. How the hell are you supposed to be able to see the differences when the pixel count jumps again by a factor of 4? It is a gigantic waste of pc processing power

Hi I'm looking at an xbox series X. Looking at a setup for Microsoft flight simulator so adding a keyboard, mouse and thrustmaster Hotas one with pedal. It appears I'd be better going with a TV over a monitor. Do not want to go to bonkers on size certainly not over 43" and cost

I presently have a Sony XBR-55X810C that I purchased back in 2015 but since I've got a PS5 and an Xbox Series X now.. I decided to upgrade my tv for my 50th birthday yesterday to the LG OLED C1 55".. I got it from Costco online for $1099.99.. Just curious what you think of my decision..... oh yeah I forgot to mention that I also have a Vizio 5.2.1 Dolby Atmos Sound Bar for my audio system..

I was gonna buy an LG OLED today until a Best Buy associate told me that none of the OLED TVs were good for gaming, that they would eventually leave "burned images" ? And he said that getting a gaming PC monitor would be better. Can anyone confirm this?????

I sold my C1.
I loved the infinite blacks but I hated the brightness, too low, and the ABL... my God... It completely destroyed my experience.
Playing Mario kart, Cuphead, Spyro and Crash was a NIGHTMARE at 100 nits cause of ABL.
I usually play at 300/400 nits brightness in a fairly lit room and with an oled it was TERRIBLE, even in the evening.
Incredibly dark.
I will definitely take a LED, i know that I will not have the contrast of an oled but at least I will gain in brightness and I will not have to worry about babysitting my TV because of the burn in.
This is just my experience, it has a stunning picture quality but is too limited, I would say castrated.
I didn't pay more than 1000 euros for a TV that cannot maintain at least 200 nits of brightness.
I'll never buy an oled again.

Nice video I now have a Sony TV series Brava x94j only I think it is very dark and have all adjustment settings and also messed around but I also like the TV without HDR is the x93j or x93j or x95 better hopefully I didn't make a bad purchase because I just got it home

I’ve had my Sony 55 inch 4K 9 series for a couple years now and it still looks good, back then it was better than LG’s oleds because the oleds couldn’t run video games at 120hz. Time to upgrade now boyzzz

does the performance get worse with less inches in general - and with the c1 oled model? do the 48 inch c1 have VRR, ALLM as well?

Appears G-SYNC is available on LG 4K C1 & G1 models. I went a head and ordered 55" G1 model which was $1699.00. If I compare it to my very first flat screen TV 32" which was not smart or even 4K was $3000.00. Anyway ... I just returned 4K Sony XR model which is suppose to have 120 HZ at least, but it wouldn't maintain it, every time when I booted up my PC it could not hold 120hz. Screen would flicker and I always had to go into settings to fix the external inputs for 120 hz. And sometimes I had to unplug the HDMI and plug it back in. Worked great at 60 hz, it has a very nice picture to watch 4k and Blue Ray movies. But then occasional when I turned on the TV it acted like it was the first time and had to go through the setup process. Tried updating the firmware which had no improvement. This is the first time I have been disappointed with Sony.

I got the 65” G1 - returned 2 QLED because I enjoy OLED much more. 😎

Just bought an lg cx55 at £890 from Costco. Gets delivered today so I’m looking forward to getting into the 4K oled game. Shhhh don’t tell the family! Managed to bag a ps5 too

Frankly OLED is bad technology and I'm upset that I was tricked. Don't buy it. Doesn't get nearly bright enough for a good HDR experience.
