ОтветитьToo bad I can only click the "like" button once...
ОтветитьMan, that Run like Hell riff was awesome 😎👍
Ответитьyou speaking faster than you picking guitars 🤣🤣
ОтветитьALL the best picker's play Tele's.
ОтветитьFully agree. Great playing. Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it!
ОтветитьThat fiesta red tele with humbucker in neck tho 🤩🤩🤩
ОтветитьAlthough it does indeed sound like it is a Fender Telecaster on the recording of the iconic James Bond Theme, and is an oft-repeated myth because of that, it wasn't played a Telecaster at all. The guitar on the recording of that classic Bond theme is a 1939 Clifford Essex Paragon Deluxe which, for the real guitar nerds out there, was serial number 1056, and the guitarist playing it was Vic Flick. The Paragon Deluxe is is a big jazzer archtop, sort of similar to a Gretsch if you are not familiar with it.
The fact that this fairly obscure guitar was used to record the Bond theme - actually it's the Dr No theme to give it the correct title - is a pure accident; it probably would have been played on a Fender Stratocaster had it not been for the fact that guitarist Vic Flick was being hassled at a gig whilst packing his gear away one night, and this made him want to leave quickly. In in his haste to get out of the venue, he forgot to pick up his Stratocaster, so the only guitar he had with him when he got the call for the session to record the Bond theme - which was on 21 June 1962 - was that Paragon Deluxe, so he used that, going into a Vox AC-15 amp which was miked up and then had studio plate reverb added to it.
But you are right, it does sound like a Fender Telecaster, so it is understandable why lots of people say it is.
Excellent! I had toi sub when i accidentally skipped the vid and it said top strat songs aswell....btw i just got a tele so thanks dude, awesome playing 👍🇦🇺🤘
ОтветитьBro u always nailing a fucking guitar tone , love it
ОтветитьFun fact: Joe from Gojira used a Telecaster on some of Gojira's songs
ОтветитьNo “London Calling” by The Clash 😢
ОтветитьWhat about ‘My Iron Lung’ by Radiohead?
Ответить“Ride My Seesaw” by the Moody Blues is another great one that I believe was recorded on a Tele
ОтветитьI always thought ‘Funk #49’ was done with a Strat ? I’ve seen Joe play it with a Strat on Howard Stern 🤷🏼 But ok I learned something!!
Great video!!
“Spirit in The Sky” by Norman Greenbaum. Yes, played on a Tele…
ОтветитьFabulous playing! It's always great to see a theme being demonstrated by someone who can play the instrument this well!
ОтветитьStats Quo to the Boss… fabulous, thanks 😊
ОтветитьI thought for sure you were leading up to "Life's Been Good" for #1.
ОтветитьIs Britney Spears a Brit too..? I love Brits. Brits with tits! God shave the King!!! God shave Britney!!!
ОтветитьAwesome collection of awesome Tele sounds!
ОтветитьA video about tele riffs and you name only 1 country song…. Great video but i think you missed a few.
ОтветитьI love Tele's and how you put this all together thanks and your playing is just awesome
Ответитьalmost all riffs are played with bridge pup - so use Esquire)
ОтветитьI loved this, thank you! I probably would've added Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah, as well as Jimi Hendrix's Little Wing. He apparently borrowed a Tele from Noel Redding to record that song as well as Hey Joe, Purple Haze, Fire, and The Wind Cries Mary. Found this out recently since I've been currently shopping for a Tele myself.
ОтветитьI don't see the Vintera Telecaster Deluxe used in the Honourable Mention segment on the list?
ОтветитьNo Radiohead?!
Ответитьgay furry porn
ОтветитьYou are one hell of a player ! Well done !!
ОтветитьOutstanding !!!!!
ОтветитьSo here’s the thing: I don’t know what my top 10 would be, I assume it would be different than yours, but I can’t deny how legendary every riff you played is. It’s basically just “every riff I wanna shred right now.”
But the Buckley hit me hard.
Just play dude. Too much talking
ОтветитьGlad Quo made the list 👍
ОтветитьBack on the chain gang should’ve been on this imo, only telecasters are used in the song
ОтветитьAmerican Girl outro Mike Campbell, Before They Make Me Run .. Keef, Hot Dog .. Page.
ОтветитьGreat playing, but those are some incredibly expensive fake old guitars
ОтветитьGreat video! I agreed with most of the things you’ve said! And the part with Grace is really “honorable to mention”! All those times in which I want a straight-on-your-face sound, I pick up one of my Tellies and the world sounds much better!!!
Ответитьgood job and good tele sounds. HELL ya, Joe Walsh!
ОтветитьI think you need to change the name of these segments to "your favorite ____ riffs"... I mean... Aqua fish?.. Or whatever the name of that band was?... The best?.. Of all time?... Not even close!... So it should be "your favorite __ riffs of all time".
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьThe 007 theme was recorded on a Strat by Vic Flick.
Ответить"Hot Rod Lincoln" or the Hellecaster's "Orange Blossom Special"
ОтветитьJeff Buckley!
ОтветитьNo moving parts?
ОтветитьI remember watching the 60’s German TV performance with Led Zep and that’s why I bought a Tele.
