Sound advice!
ОтветитьFinally someone with genuine stuff to talk about
ОтветитьI totally agree. But there’s a fine line where you’re letting the artist be and letting him do what ever they want and lose the control of the session
ОтветитьLots of knowledge. Thanks for this video.
ОтветитьOrganic climb….wow. Gem.
ОтветитьWords of wisdom.
ОтветитьI actually get much more creative ideas listening to the exact same genre I want to produce! Makes so much more sense to me. :)
ОтветитьAs soon as this video start you got to the point. Big up my g! 🙌🏽
Ответить❤️
ОтветитьGreat tips! Studying what you do is very important instead of just doing.
Ответитьlove this!
Ответитьhear you
ОтветитьLove it
ОтветитьIm a senior in high school and i need help on where or how to start
ОтветитьScheps is so generous with his knowledge & experience! Great guy, great video.
ОтветитьAt 1.00 Andrew said those most important words, 'listen to every kind of music'. I tell everyone I know the same words...why?
So you're producing a song and say it sounds a bit flattish, say it's a pop song, add a reggae guitar riff and boom, it changes the whole dynamics of the song. Take a very good example of Phil Collins, we know he's the front for Genesis but when he went solo, fuck me where did those horns come from? That's because he loved Motown and played around with the sound and then it crept into Genesis song's.
So yes, listening to as many types of music does help you greatly as a producer 🎼🎼🎼🎼
Wow thanks for this one sir I appreciate. I wish I could be like you one day.
ОтветитьSit down and listen to the 🐐.
ОтветитьJust another great set of tips from one of the greats
ОтветитьGreat advice!! I’m always working on getting better.. musically and production skills. I swear I learn something valuable almost everyday.
ОтветитьMy man is the Merlin of music production
Ответитьtotal opposite of DJ Khaled
Ответить1. Climb your career slowly and specialized.
2. Listen to all kijds of music to inspire you.
3. Figure out the artist vision, it's his/her record.
4. Master technical skills, don't let it kill your creative flow.
Essentials...Neve, API, SSL, UA, Neumann. Choose instruments that reinforce the mood of the song. It's actually pretty easy if you have $100,000 in gear
ОтветитьGREAT stuff !!!!!!!
ОтветитьAndrew: Are you the secret owner of Schweppes? I just can't disassociate it.
ОтветитьHe highlights one of my favorite aspects of audio engineering. It’s a facilitative job, you are helping others express their creative ideas to people. Such a special and modest role.
ОтветитьNice Audient ASP 8024 in the background...
Ответитьlet's dedicate our entire lives to make music sound great and just then if we're as lucky as andrew was, we can MAYBE get out of it with some money, forget about proper credits, because you know, artists need to feel us as if we were invisible. btw I really enjoy how andrew's pure luck ended up sounding, I'm not just that much lucky.
ОтветитьUf, getting that technical bit down
Ответитьexcellent
Ответитьpearls of wisdom, the music industry is truly blessed to have someone like Andrew Scheps. Rock on, brother!
