Id say upgrade the cpu to a 3rd or 4th gen, i recently pulled an i7 4990 from an ewaste bin, maybe you could find one, make it better, maybe upgrade the ram and than you could have more players at once

Would be ideal to use Proxmox for virtualisation, have two PC's as nodes, mirror one to the other every night and so you can easily failover when needed.

Have you tried to ban Jonky (or whatever his username was) yet? I know he could probably bypass easily, but you should also install an anti-griefing plugin.
