When you looked down at the coins on the edge you could see that the lip was angled up in the middle but flat down on the edges that were under the plastic dragon side pieces. So most of the coins were going to the sides where you could see separate catchers diverting the coins!

Always drop coins on both sides of the machine. A lot of times coins dropped on the left will shift the right side.
