Which m3 model did you get , can you please share a review on the base model of it’s enough
ОтветитьDuh! Very Interesting benchmarks…
ОтветитьCan you make a video comparing the 18GB M3 Pro MacBook Pro to the 36GB M3 Pro MacBook Pro with regards to developers' needs, including VM?
ОтветитьDuh!
Ответитьthis man deserves a ton of subscriber
ОтветитьThank you Alex. Your content is great 👏👏👏
Any videos for designers? I use Photoshop, illustrator and Figma. I have a MacBook Pro i5 2017 and I'm having some difficulties in choosing my upgrade options 😢
What would you recommend??
Cheers !!!
Greate review... well done. I own MBP 16" i9 and running VMs with Visual Studio for development. The max battery I can get from i9 somewhat between hour and hour and a half. Can anyone comment on battely life comparisson on M3 or M2 with VMs running?
Ответитьwhat is more better m3 max(14 cores) with 96gb or m3 max (16cores) with 64gb for KMP and xcode development?
ОтветитьGod, me coming from a 2015 i7 upgrading to even an M1 is gonna be a shock isn't it? 😂

ОтветитьI want to upgrade my machine witch is an intel MacBook Pro 16” 8 core i9 16GB ram, as you demonstrated I will benefit in preference anyway but I would like to know how Xcode preference is with the working environment like how quick the completion code is generated because my one sucks and slow, some time not generating nothing.
ОтветитьSchwarzenegger 2.0 is turning into quite the terminator
ОтветитьI barely know how to insert a formula in Excel but I’m hooked up to this channel.
Ответитьjust bought m3 pro. for now it feels like the best purchase i have made in years
ОтветитьWhy M3 Max is slower than M2 Max?
Ответитьduh! 😁
ОтветитьBase MBA 16 GB/8 GPU ( 2020) has indeed served me well, continue to serve me well for music production and minor gaming/emulation.
ОтветитьHi Alex, nice tests and video . Do you know if the M3 is now ready (with parallels) to support nested virtualization ? ^^
ОтветитьDuh !😂
ОтветитьTest Diffusuion Bee and GPT4all on these machines pls
ОтветитьNot that I think modern Intel CPU can beat Apple M series but they certainly could beat the Intel in Macs, lol.
ОтветитьAmazing video, as always.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the ML benchmarks. Next year I'll start my M.D. in ML and I'd like to know how's the performance on the M3 Max. I'm still deciding between building a desktop and SSHing to it or buy the M3 Max
You can use a macbook pro 2019 the top model and compare it with m2 max and m3 max
Ответитьduh!
Ответитьollama has insane performance on AArch
ОтветитьWould love to see a game development comparison eventually
ОтветитьInteresting if 14" with either of M3 Max, 14-CPU 30-GPU or 16-CPU 40-GPU, can hold the load for long enough. In other words how's the thermals differ between 16" and 14" for fastest chips
ОтветитьLinux will do it more effectively.
ОтветитьDuh!
ОтветитьI am new to Machine Learning. I wonder if people do use their own machines or Cloud service to train the models.
If they use cloud service to train the models, what would be the GPU requirement for the development tasks?
What LLMs can you work with a minimum specs M3 Max machine (36GB RAM and 1TB SSD), can M3 or M3 Pro do small Deep Learning projects? Can you do videos about it please?
ОтветитьBro gift me one of the laptops
ОтветитьToo bad you didn't have an M1 in the mix, but cool comparison just the same.
ОтветитьPlease do a machine learning benchmark with the new chips! I am studying AI and will be increasing the size of my datasets and complexity of my models soon!
ОтветитьDuh!
ОтветитьI still have a 2018 MBP 2.2GHz 6 core i7 Radeon 555x 4GB 16GB RAM 512GB SSD (certified refurb from Apple in early 2019) and I had to get a laptop cooler fan so my system wouldn't overheat playing World of Warcraft or Fortnite, and I don't even have graphics turned up much at all. WoW is on I think 2 (of 10) for graphics levels. Even added a small USB fan I could point at the laptop for extra cooling since all the heat is at the back just in front of the screen. I haven't run any tests to see exactly how hot it gets, but I will definitely be happy when I can finally upgrade my machine. The jump I will have when I finally upgrade (probably not till early 2025 honestly) will be just insane. Side note, I do have a new battery (Feb 2023), bc it got replaced along w/my keyboard due to the bad switches.
Love seeing these tests and showing how phenomenal the processors are. Apple Silicon has made big waves and the new competitors that are ARM based will make things more interesting for sure.
Hey how can you check the ssd heart with Terminal?
ОтветитьAlex, I hope to see soon a video related with machine learning in M3. Thanks for your amazing work
Ответитьwebpack test please
ОтветитьIt's a no brainer, you should have tested the M1 vs M3
The Intel machine is not close in terms of battery life, that miniled screen and performance.
But apple laptops have many drawbacks also
Just following the instructions .... duh!
Ответитьduh!
ОтветитьI do a lot of data mining which is obviously CPU intensive. Would Xcode be a good indication of how the M3 Max would perform on that task?
ОтветитьFirst of all, I enjoyed this video, thank you :) I am really glad you included the Intel machine, since not by choice, but I have to use an Intel Macbook :D
Secondly, can you please create some regular content on how these machines stack up against the latest Intel and AMD machines?
I really wonder how these compare to each other. I like MacBooks, but I am still not cold for Windows :D
Thank you :)
Well if I remember correctly you should avoid charging an Intel 16" MBP on the left side because of some CPU problems overloading and getting even hotter
So for heavy use, the USB ports on the right side are the way to go!
Just some pointers from your video:
- M3 Max has to be better, but 40% better is really a lot;
- 54W usage and still finishes up at 100%? Should be the new Apple iMath;
- A new intel macbook would be really amazing - by the way. I did a hackintosh with a 13 core i5 I have here at home and the Ventura OS could not distinguish performance cores from efficient cores in the intel line up, a real bummer.
Duh! 🤣
ОтветитьI am planning to buy the m3 max chip 14 inch macbook pro with 16 core cpu and 40 core gpu with 1 tb storage. I want to upgrade to this machine from my intel macbook pro. I mostly do web development and machine learning, but for machine learning i will buy a dedicated pc with nvidia gpus in the future when budget allows. But for now should i get the 64 gb ram or 128 gb ram model? I have also heard there is thermal throttling with the 14inch model? Can you please advise. Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat video. Thank you.
Alex, could you please make the comparison in Xcode 2 macs: m3 pro with 18 ram vs m3 max (36 or 48 ram)?
