In January 2021, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia introduced NEOM, a revolutionary development project featuring three major components: the Oxagon, the Line, and Trojena. The Oxagon, initially named the NEOM Industrial City, is an eight-sided complex designed to float on water, serving as NEOM's industrial hub for modern manufacturing and research. Alongside housing machinery and supporting product development, the Oxagon will also operate as a port and passageway for vessels crossing the Red Sea. Anticipated to be the world's largest industrial city upon completion, NEOM represents a significant innovation in Saudi Arabia's development landscape.
