Horrible
ОтветитьLaw enforcement stop using them because they are a heavy set dog …not because of their bite… I breed German shepherds for law enforcement.
ОтветитьThere are super healthy rots that are 160 pounds the standard isn't the real standard i have seen 160 pound rot that looks like it needs to gain more weight
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьThere is a big problem with the breed!
In simple words, the problems associated with this new 'Trendy' pugweiler head type are:
1) SHORT MUZZLE leads to difficulties in breathing and the ability to dissipate heat is compromised. Which prevents the dog from fulfilling the original purpose of his breed that is WORK. Lots of cases are popping up these days around the world where short muzzled Rottweilers are suddenly dying off heat stroke. For detailed information please search about Brachycephalic Airway Obstructive Syndrome.
2) HEART related complications. Shortened and narrowed path for the flow of air results in laboured breathing. The dogs constantly struggle to cope with the lack of oxygen in their bloodstream. This puts a strain on their hearts.
3) TEETH PROBLEM. When the size of muzzle is compressed there is less room for the teeth of same number, shape and size to fit in. Underbite, missing teeth, crooked teeth, small teeth, twisted teeth, tight or incomplete scissors bite etc are some of the problems. Rottweilers are supposed to be have a 100% scissors bite.
4) A Shorter Muzzle compromises with the grip and bite force of the dog. A large and powerful muzzle is responsible for a great bite force. When the muzzle becomes short and narrow the grip of the dog and bite force is compromised.
5) Major Deviation from the Breed Standard.
Breed Standard states that the skull to muzzle ratio of a rottweiler head is supposed to be 60:40. The head of the rottweiler is the icon of the breed. Rottweilers is supposed to have a large head with powerful muzzle. And not a short head with extremely short muzzle. A strong stop is desired not an overdone stop. A slightly arched skull is desired and NOT a helmet on the head.
These cosmetic changes in the head also brings changes in eye shape, size and placement. Round eyes, loose eyelids, incorrect eye placement is often noticed in these extreme type dogs. Along with extra skin folds around the head and muzzle which is another deviation from the breed type.
Below are 5 pictures of Male heads that may not be 100% perfect (no dog is perfect) but are very close to the breed standard. All these dogs are either Gekört and/or have won World Shows. Just to give an example of how rottweiler heads are supposed to look like.

I agree with majority of the points other then the false claim that the type of dog owner that is best suited for the breed depends on the dog as an individual puppy, instead knowing the characteristics of the breed and their loyalty to the owner it all depends on the owner. a bad dog owner will train a dog to be bad, a dog owner will train the dog to behave just like children. the blame isnt to shift on the individual upon upbringing, but to take accountability as an owner. The Rottweiler breed is probably the most loyal and intelligent breed line around today and although they can be a challenge to train proper, thats a factor dependent on the trainer and owner, not the dog but the handler of the beast. perspective is key. animals are just as if not more intelligent then humans, we are just in denial of that truth.
ОтветитьI have a beautiful Rotty from an incredible breeding lineage, he is very smart, obeys all commands. My wife decided to raise chickens on our property. Fred seemed very calm and agreeable when my wife or myself were tending to them. We had them in a full enclosure, we left for a day trip and kept Fred outside. When we returned, Frederick Der Grosse was sitting at our gate with a happy grin, and feathers all over his muzzle. My wife, ever the optimist, bought five more chicks. When they were old enough, they were again placed in the coop and yard. Fred paid little attention to them and actually alerted us when a hen flew over the fence. What a good boy!. We felt confident enough to take another trip, and when we returned, they all were dead. Fred is a great companion to us as well as protector, he subdued a drug addled trespasser on our property with no difficulty. However, he seems to have a no chicken circuit and installed in his brain.
ОтветитьIt looks like handlers have to be covered in trailer park trashy tattoos too. How gross of a reflection on such a wonderful breed.
ОтветитьRottweilers #1 ❤️
ОтветитьI have a girl Rottweiler and I love her so much .She’s the best dog we’ve ever owned . Great with children and so loveable
ОтветитьShouldn't matter one bit if a dog has lost a tooth or 2.. Had an old pitbull with no K9 teeth at all & he still did his job & caught coyotes almost every weekend. I've even seen completely toothless dogs that still worked just fine! If the dog is great at it's job, has a sound/healthy structure and stable temperament, shouldn't be excluded from show over missing teeth. Teeth won't affect it's production ability or quality.
ОтветитьI just got a Rott/Boxer mix a few weeks ago. He's really sweet and absolutely adores my Chihuahua.
ОтветитьI have 2, a male n female, they are the best dogs ever, a dog with ADHD but the most stunning looking and loyal dog ever.
ОтветитьAs I have been studying over the various breeds of dogs, the Rotwilder is truly above my choice. This Blue Heeler is not that far off, but the Rotwilder is not only a work hound, this breed is social.
ОтветитьLove this! Such a beautiful dog!!
ОтветитьPaws down the best dog breed I have a pure bread female German rotti named midna and a rotti/lab mix named Luna
ОтветитьIs this Falko that he’s showing? He said it was a son of Zivan so I was curious
ОтветитьNice
Good looking Rottweilers excellent type true to German standard eye shape muzzle stop coat colour 👍👍👍
7 or 8 is not the average lifespan. I've never had one live less than 11.
ОтветитьI WISHD ID HAD 6 ROTTWEILERS
ОтветитьI am looking for a great breeder to get a family friendly Rottweiler. Any suggestions?
I’m in the mid-west
What is a Malimoa my man
ОтветитьBeautifully explained!
ОтветитьAKC sucks…. Forced docking of the tail
ОтветитьIS NO ONE GONNA TALK ABOUT HOW HE LOOKS LIKE FORREST GUMP?
ОтветитьReally want one! Debating between a Dogo Argentino, Rottweiler, or presa. I have a pit mix, but I want a dog at least 100 lbs next.
ОтветитьMy favorite breed unfortunately I can't own one. I work 10 hours a day with an hour drive back and forth so I'm out of the house 12 hours a day. Wile my wife would be home with the dog wile I'm away she is not an experienced dog owner such as myself and I just don't think she would be consistent with the training or even know where to begin. It's unfortunate I've had rottis and there is no bond stronger between a rotti and his owner.
ОтветитьIs there videos on training these dogs? My daughter has 3 oldest being 14 months, we have searched but never find training videos for obedience or any other forms! Help!
ОтветитьThe rottwieler for 100s of years have been great working n farm dogs n they did all sorts of things from protecting cattle n herding them also were able to catch boar without fighting each other n then became a war dog n working for police that is reall functions of rottwieler
Ответить❤️❤️
ОтветитьMy moms friend’s rottie passed 2 days ago
ОтветитьWorking dogs being handled by people who can't even run 20m... 🙄
ОтветитьHey wondering, What is JLPP?
ОтветитьIf I could have one I would.
One of my favorite breeds, when bred right they have the most regal faces and spectacular physiques.
American Akita
American Bulldog
Rottweiler
How to contect best rottweiler breeder ?
ОтветитьCan you be a working single while owning a Rottie?
ОтветитьThank you for also pointing out that a high weight is not something "cool" for the dog and often shortens its lifespan!
ОтветитьIT'S SETTLED! I'm getting a rottie!!
ОтветитьIT'S SETTLED! I'm getting a rottie!!
ОтветитьI WISHD ID HAD DIFFRENT BREED OF DOGS INCL ROTTWEILERS
ОтветитьFYI, the correct pronunciation of the breed's name is with a V, as if it were written Rottveiler
ОтветитьThought I wanted a English or Bullmastiff but bony kind is slowly being changed to wanting a Rottweiler for my next dog
ОтветитьThe Rottie is from Rottweil, Germany. It was used to drive the cattle from the farm to the market. They are also guards.
ОтветитьI WISHD ID HAD SOME DAY 4 ROTTWEILERS
ОтветитьI've had many other breeds in my life. Since my first rotti in 1983 I've been a loyal rottweiler mom since having many German Rottweilers! Best breed for any situation!!
ОтветитьI know some peoples preferences, but unless you like that tail smacking your bees knees or neighbor getting the mail or pin balling the kids running up out of the little blue pool,of all the German breeds wimerhimers (grey) dobermans, Schnauzers, toy ,medium ,large And Giant, all tails cropped ,(EXCEPT) German Shepherd s Belgium Shepherds, and Ironically the Australian Shepherd would all look very silly without a tail ,and i do personally feel the tail on a Shepherd for dexterity is not unlike a cat or squirrel.....All Shepherds can scale a10 ft. Fence 2 get 2 you...A Rottweiler will just go through the damn door ,and take you out ,and I dont mean 2 lunch ...they can help get you out of a fire,or pull you into the fire saving the kitty cat....so so so STRONG...displace their ENERGY properly they will give you their ALL til the Very END...
.
Our Rottweiler lived for 11 years old... He died an unnatural death
ОтветитьThey dock the tails for a few reasons but it’s proper to have tail docked
ОтветитьThese Rottweilers with tales it’s ludicrous
