Er war einer von denen, die 1958/59 für uns eine "Zeitenwende" einläuteten. Neben Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Elvis oder Bill Haley mit Rock around the clock. Little Richard mit den Füssen auf dem Klavier, Chuck the Duck im Entengang bei einer Größe von über 2 Meter, ich möchte keinen Tag missen, obwohl die Musik nur für 20 Pfennige (2 Geoschen) aus einer plärrenden Musikbox kam. Ich bin inzwischen über 80, aber beim Rock´n Roll juckt es immer noch in den Beinen.

this is so weird this is the greatest music ever written and when it came out we were all going nuts we could not listen to this during the day time our parents would punish us for listing to this music and in the 7th grad we could get expelled playing it on our radio we would all stay up to 12 o'clock and pick up the billion watt stations coming out of Nashville just to heir this song,,,, those were the days GOD BLESS U LITTLE RICHARD for such great memories

I'm 34. grew up in the "ghetto" and grew up with rap and r&b, which is fine and all but little richard has captivated me since I was a older toddler in 1993. my parents thought I was weird but I think I saw a TV show or documentary when I was a kid. actually, it might have been my grandfather playing long tall Sally but for whatever reason I organically loved little richard as a young kid and all I needed to do was watch predator. Nothing is more beautiful then finding something different than what is around you and loving it on your own without it being pushed on you

Together with Johnny B Good of Chuck Berry the everlasting fanal of Rock'n'Roll music, which I appreciate more than I can say.
