ОтветитьI do 1cm sliced potato, par boiled, then layered on a large baking pan. Layer chicken thighs on top and liberally sprinkle with small dabs of butter, sprinkle with oregano (fresh or dried) and some lemon zest. Squeeze the lemon and douse the dish in it. Pop in the oven to bake 180c until it’s cooked through.

Just commenting to say ive been making this since i found this recipe about 3 years ago, always a crowd pleaser.
ОтветитьI made this according to instruction. The potatoes were still raw, the overwhelming taste of rosemary was appalling and the chicken was rubbery. This is not how you execute this dish at all. It already breaks down at the basic level of cooking. The presentation is nothing shot of annoying. 4.4 Million viewers??????
ОтветитьI don't have a roasting pan so I make this dish in a cast iron skillet. Because of that I cut down on the amount of liquids. He's right though, I made this once, family loved it. I made it again, and now we practically make it once a week.

ОтветитьIt is a delicious recipe! I made it a couple of times. I add more potatoes because they're soooo tasty, of course I use a larger pan to accomodate the extra potatoes. Thank you Chef John for sharing this delectable recipe. Because I have a couple of adults living with me, I use a baster instead of turning them over every 20 minutes. It works for me. I don't know about others.
