Yes I see going to get much more active and the new tropical wave now could be a concern there is a chance like Debby what becomes of Ernesto may also enter gulf, hoping it doesn't get too bad again near SWFL where I am at least not much harm is done where I live from Debby.

Still learning about Hurricanes 🌀 thank you for the education. My question is ( which I’m grateful) but why do hurricanes typically move past the central eastern side of Florida? They usually go up or move to the gulf.

Watching from Rawdon Nova Scotia but from Halifax Nova Scotia and I want to say not only thank you for the indepth knowledge of the weather now and in the near future but thank you for including how the weather is hoping to affect the Atlantic provinces. Most meteorologists seem to avoid mentioning canadian provinces but I find there's way my meteorologists in the US compared to Canada doing podcasts, we need more then just the weather network lol thanks again😊

haha! Ernesto is moving out to sea and nothing is in the pipeline. You meteorologists spent all of last spring up through now terrifying the public that this season was set to be the most active and devastating of all history. The amount of superlatives thrown out by you all were ridiculous. What's one factor you completely ignored? Saharan dust, which is perhaps the most influential factor that impacts how active a season is. Guess what, the dust is at record levels and they're seeing it all that way over to Florida. There is no signs of it slowing down either, with thick plumes of it blowing off Senegal all the way into next week. I know you are all desperate for ratings and trying to prove Climate Change, but you can do that in other ways aside from making people panic. One thing that is extremely worrying is the Atlantic water temperatures, which are approaching levels that could cause mass marine die-off due to acidification, but that's a different topic.

The active period of season looks to start in a couple of days. Ernesto is likely to form near the Leeward Islands on the other side of the weekend. - Jonathan
