I definitely agree with your high toss and I've always noticed that he has to pause before he hits a serve. But it seems to work for him. Everybody's a little bit different and we can all serve like Federer

Nice breakdown. He has one of the worst serves on the tour which is crazy cuz he's left-handed so it should be his biggest weapon. If he wants to get to the next level he really needs to retool this.

I'd never copy anything from Norrie. I'd rather copy Medvedev if I have to copy some bad looking strokes.

Delbonis seems to do the same. His ball drops back down with snow on! Looks goofy as eff.

It's pretty funny to see *you* comment on Norrie's serve. He has such a ridiculously high toss that he needs to pause -- and that's in spite of the delayed arm rise -- and you have one of the lowest toss I have ever seen. It's quite the contrast!

I prefer to delay my arm rise and toss a bit higher than most, but not that high. While not everyone will be comfortable doing what I do or doing what you do, Norrie way out of the normal range and it's probably preferable amateurs do not exaggerate their toss as much as he does. Or, if they do, maybe work on bringing it down until they don't have to pause so much. Chances are that those who do aren't hitting 120 mph flat serves or kicking the ball 6 feet high at 90 mph anyway.

Thx so much was wondering if Norrie’s pause helped to generate extra velocity on his serve. Reality is it will likely screw up the timing of the serve.

Why can't we do it like him,it's all about practice right?

The correct depth and placement of the serve toss is SO CRITICAL!

That’s not a pause, it’s the way serves are taught now I.e. half serves. Alcaraz does it too
