This build doesn't seem viable below level 50 or so. Killing the knight to get the spear spell is absolutely ridiculous. I use frenzy on him with 40 faith after grinding to level 25 and it does maybe 10% of his health, meanwhile he uses lightning bolt once and I'm dead.

Faithful Canvas Talisman increases your incantation damage by 4%. The same with the Graven School Talisman for sorceries. Flock Canvas and Graven Mass is increased to 8% for their respective categories.

One shot dude was taking 5 incantations to take out low tier enemies 😂

I feel like the correct weapon to use for this build is definitely a hammer... Or I suppose an axe for stormbreaker since there's no good hammers that match

Buffing dex for faster cast time and with items that reduce fp cost and make so incants cost nothing while keeping mind and endurance stats equal to really get the most cast is what makes this build tones of fun.

So the reason you're not seeing much of a difference with the Filgreed Crest, is that it very specifically only reduces FP consumed by skills. So Ashes of War and I believe summons as well. It doesn't effect spells at all.

I did a very similar build. I used the morning star though because striking damage has a higher stagger rate

You can also use the Ancient dragon's lightning strike and spear for this build. It is found in Crumbling Farum Azula , but unfortunately u can only acces it in late game after defeating fire giant. I am also a faith dex user , and those 2 spells with bolt of gansaxx is amazing.

Holy shit. I’m lvl 125 and didn’t know you could use incantations on your horse 🤦🏻. Now that I think about it, it must be because I always have it equipped in my left hand. I bet when I go on my game and hold triangle and press left bumper it will allow me to do it. I feel so stupid

Why does my lightening spear always miss ? It's so inaccurate but you seem to be able to hit enemies with it repeatedly.
