Best Video Editing Software for Windows and Mac?

I actually started out with Sony Vegas on PC, now I use FCPX on my mac book pro. SV is better for precise cuts, some of my better work has been done on Vegas.

What do you guys think as far as Vegas vs FCP?

I got the Photoshop elements + Premiere elements package discounted when I bought a new laptop (even if I did not install the software to that device).

I started with Adobe premiere , and still use it, I love it! And it doesnt really take that long to learn the basics even tho it might look advanced at first glance.. But as said, I think most softwares does the job, it's really up to ure own creativity here! :) Great video guys!

Soo question- whats the difference between elements 13 and 14? Cause right now Adobe premiere elements 14 and photoshop elements 14 is like $90 ??! Is 13 better ?

I just bought an iMac for my wife and she uses iMovie. Ive been using iMovie as well. I really enjoy it.

my wife was using a pc and a software i bought her but when we got her the iMac it has just been so easy.

I use imovie but the audio is always out of sync, I've googled solutions yet nothing is working for me! It's driving me crazy cos that's so so frustrating. Plsss what other imovie alternative do you recommend ??

I alternate between Movie Studio, PowerDirector, Premiere, and Resolve.

I use Sony Vegas Pro for PC and Final Cut Pro for Mac. Lately, I've been editing videos "alternately" because of "deadlines" and when one video finishes I render it and then edit the other video while the first one finishes rendering. 😂

Yes windows live movie maker is still around. I love using it for a low cost/no budget option. I've been looking at Movie Magix and Sony Vegas as my future wish upgrade.

What do you do if you have a slightly crappy laptop? I have an Acer which is a good laptop and I can get my videos done pretty well using it but it can be horrifyingly slow sometimes...

You spoke about distracting backgrounds in a different video but the mirror in the background had my constant attention dudes ;')

For mobile devices I suggest Kinemaster. It allows you to put headings at ANY part of the video. You can put in music. Cut it, add your voice in it. Its really cool. And If you want to record your screen on mobile I suggest Mobizen. Its really Useful! It has an option for face cam aswell. And it records audio! Both of these apps are only FREE!

For windows, right now I have Debut video capturing software and it allows you to record your screen and it has a facecam option, all you neef on your PC is a camera. No money is needed for anything I just said.

For lighting i just use a lamp, out it behind my laptop, and start recording!

My issue is that my mac is too old to install i-movie because the computer cant support the latest mac updates which are necessary for the i-movie app to function properly , ugh smh lol this video still helped in some ways, but maybe once i find something thats free - easy - and works ill let u guys know so that if anyone is in my situation and reading this then we can both move forward with our mission hahaha happy filming !

I've been using Imovie, and its been working great. But recently its been crashing whenever i open my project and my project im editing is gone. Anyone know what i should do? Should i find a new software or is there a way to fix this? Thanks!!
