the amount of electricity they are producing is equivalent to power 2-3 cities.. I would like to know the avg amount of power generation and consumption numbers except the main engines which are used to power the propellers

if there is steam turbines which are running from the steam made from the exhaust gases that is kind of free energy right? then why there are so many separate diesel generators?

As big as this beast is. With all of the high tech equipment and the ability to travel the open oceans. A tiny motorized canoe with six skinny af Somalians with a step ladder and a couple of AK’s can hijack this thing within 30 minutes of pulling along side of it.

The main engines are diesel powered, as on 99% of merchant vessels today, so what is the use for the turbines in the engine room? I can only assume they are there for electric power generation. Any clues welcome.
