i was invited in a cult before cult leaders have a way to brainwashed people. i am a realistic person i found out that it is a cult because a certain percentage of my salary should be donated to their so-called church, its obvious scam right. but, cult brainwashing really works for people who feels isolated, lonely and depressed coz cult leaders made you think that you are a superior, perfect or #1 person in this world. i also noticed that those people who are involved in a cult has influenced in politics they are endorsing politicians to cult members for them to vote which i think eventually causes corruption in the government.

I grew up in Christianity, which I then realise is not thay different from a cult anyway. Most stuff described in the video fits perfectly with Christianity and many other religions. Provides an answer to life (and death), guides you to the required changes, asks for money, asks you to recruit more followers etc. Cults just take it too far but any religion does the same basic stuff.

All I’m hearing is that religion is just larger-scale cult that’s accepted by society just because people grew up in them.

I came here because of a doomsday and alleged s** cult in the Philippines. Its led by Jay Rence Quilario also called as "Senior Agila" or eagle in Filipino. That cult is similar to Jonestown. All members are living in a community with strict rules including haircut.

This cult issues its own documents like birth and marriage certificates. They also do forced marriage.

This is totally unrealted but acouple years ago i was leading a childrens group in this summer event my church at the time did and this little 5 year old girl in my group kept telling me i was her best freind and i shouldnt talk to anyone else including my family just her honestly it was probably just normal kid stuff but i am still to this day woried she had other people in her life telling her similar things
