Great job.....only a minor safety issue here.
Having your back cut slightly higher then your front cut wil save your butt one day.
Especially with just a axe where you have less time to watch what the tree is doing.
Wood under tension tend to make strange jumps.

I too love the job as a lumberjack.

When I at first saw him removing the bark with that tiny ax I thought there’d be no way he’d get this done in around 12 minutes.

I don't think axes were used to often to chop down large trees unless for house logs perhaps but only if a saw wasn't available and a bunch of your fellow villagers would take turns and help each other build log houses. Because using an axe like this for any prolonged length of time would eventually injure the user. I've used wood for secondary and primary heating over the years and handy with chainsaws and axes.

Was there a reason to cut this tree down? Didn't look dead or was dying. Didn't look like it was close to a fence or someone's house. Did you Cut a healthy tree down for views and clicks? I could be wrong but that's what it seems like to me. In the first 10 seconds you had plenty of dead trees to use. If that is an alive tree, you have to wait a year or so to even use that wood.

That's not a big tree and that's not an ax that's a hatchet and a normal size tree, well i guess when you do things the hard way everything seams bigger a real ax makes things much easier and it's still a good work out this just seems like you have watched way too much TV and decided to try some nonsense the dumb way
