Hi! Would you recommend this to a intermediate player and a total noob ( gear wise) to start recording into a scarlet interface?

Don't buy one I wasted over $500 on this thing it never left my house and I turned it on one evening and the screen instantly went dark and it never worked again. On top of the thing cooking itself while never leaving the safety of my home the company thinks they're entitled to your personal info email adress phone number and demand it for MANDATORY updates and firmware when you try to copy impulses to it. That's like requiring a new computer chip for your car when you try to put gas in it in my eyes. Stay away from two crooks they sell garbage.

Anyone play one of these with headphones??

Was it too much to ask for stereo inputs and TRS/XLR outputs?

Why does this sound much more clear and bigger than the much more expensive Torpedo Studio unit? Somebody please fill me in.

If honestly rather have a real speaker cabinet. I wouldn’t record a full length album with this personally. But for the bedroom player of an apartment this is gold.

Do you have to use a load box for the AMT or just take the Line Out to the Torpedo CAB without a load box? I'm looking into getting this setup, if I can just take the Line Out of the preamp straight into the Torpedo CAB.

Hi Brett, is it possible to directly plug the electric guitar into torpedo cab wihout any preamp/pedal for late night practice?

sorry for dumb question, but can THIS plus my pedalboard be a valid gig rig just plugged directly into the PA? or would i have to have some sort of amp simulation since this is just a cab sim??

Thank you for demoing the KT88 power amp section. I'm trying to consolidate my tube amp into my pedal board, and this with a tube preamp should get me there. I do wish there was an ultralinear option for the power section.

It sounds better than the Amplifire. I mean it sounds more real, more organic, more amp sound.

Can I plug it in front of my amp or in the return?

The best thing to put into this unit is just your guitar. It already has great amp and speaker sims. Forget the pre-amp jazz.

it comes with wall of sound III plugin?

I've been using this pedal for a couple of years now and I think its awesome...great for recording, great live ... the headphone jack makes it great for practicing and being able to switch through all the parameters quickly turns you into and engineering expert in no time...I currently use it on my pedalboard along with ADA App1 Pedal Preamp.

You have to demo the studio

It sounds good, but aren't you more than halfway into digital guitar amp emulation using this device? I kind of is a one or the other guy. I often use guitar amp modelling software for the convenience of recording directly into the computer and not committing to any fixed sound during tracking. But sometimes I just get fed up with the digial stuff becuase it does not sound and feel 100% autehentic, and then I go old school and put a mic in front of my amp speaker and use my pedalboard. I have a palmer cab sim if I want to stay analog but still go direct into the computer, but for recording quietly I'm thinking about getting an isolation cab enclosure where I don't emulate anything either analog or digital but still record the old fashioned true and tested way. But the Torpedo sounds good in all demos I've heard. But so does most guitar amp sims and it's a bit of an illusion because when you use them, you can hear and feel their small shortcomings. Also, the C.A.B is not a load box, so it's no good for recording quietly with your regular amp. For this you need to buy one of Torpedo's considerably more expensive models.

So to be clear, this doesn't work like a load box ie, I can't run my head into it and then straight into a desk?
