im going to show this to my wife...wish me luck
ОтветитьDishes need food on them so the soap works, otherwise, it will wear out your dishes - that sounds like utter BS.
ОтветитьYeah, cooking knives should never go in a dishwasher, you're okay with your regular dinner-knives, of course. I also pretty much always wash glasses by hand. Most glass is too delicate to withstand the high temperatures and slightly abrasive detergent, and end up turning cloudy. 🙂
ОтветитьDo yourselves a favor and use powder or liquid detergent (I use powder)
There's absolutely no reason for the dumb packets. As the packets get older, the membrane gets harder and stronger... sometimes won't open in the dishwasher at all. You NEVER know how long your dishes have actually been washed if you use a packet.
The powder works better, faster, is cheaper, and has zero chance of clogging your jets or not activating.
What kind of dishwasher is this
ОтветитьAs technician of 35 years, I can tell you that a dishwasher is nothing more than a sanitizer, and if you remember to use it like this, you will always have good results. The best way to continue to get the best results from your dishwasher is to rinse all traces of food off before loading. Leaving sauces and condiments as well as small food particles on the dishes will contaminate your internal filters that you do not see, and this will result in rotted food clogging the wash pump filters, and your dishwasher will never sanitize again.
The salesman on this video is telling you what he is told to tell you by the manufacturer. He is not an expert. Anyone can sell appliances.
I have been fixing them for over 35 years, and have taken many wash pumps apart only to see severely clogged up filters and heavy detergent build up that resulted in a new wash pump being needed.
Do not listen to the deceptive pitch on the sales floor telling you that the dishwasher is equipped with a garbage disposal that grinds up the food. That food grinder is nothing more than a small metal 2 blade propeller that rides on the motor shaft and it spins around as the motor runs. This propeller is very dull and will not chop up food small enough to be removed in the drain water.
When it comes to the right detergent, NEVER use liquid. Always use Cascade powder detergent, and be sure to use no more than 3/4 of a table spoon in the main wash cup, and one teaspoon in the prewash cup.
WATER TEMP IS CRITICAL ! ! ! Make sure your hot water is at least 125-130 degrees. Always run the hot water at your kitchen sink before starting the dishwasher to bleed out the cold water first. Get a water temp thermometer. If you do not want to buy one, a good test is when the water is at it's hottest, coming out of the kitchen faucet, you should not be able to hold your hand under the water for a split second. The waster should scalding hot. This will ensure your dishwasher fills with hot water and not cold or warm water.
The scalding hot water dissolves the detergent completely so it can do it's job. Very hot water, plus the correct amount of detergent, and removing all traces of food from the dishes before loading will ensure they are sanitized. Pouring in 1 cup of white vinegar will also improve washing results and help to prevent spotting after the dry cycle. If your dishwasher is equipped, it should have a water temp boost and heated dry option, and be sure to select those options.
Follow these instructions and you will see the best results. This of course requires that your dishwasher is not already contaminated by years of misuse. Last word of caution. Do not use jet dry in your dishwasher as it contains toxins that are not safe to consume. The detergent goes through several wash and rinse cycles and is removed completely, but jet dry only goes through one rinse cycle, and I do not encourage it's use.
I am not fond of dishwashers - they consume too much water and energy and they take too long to complete a cycle - my effective routine is to wash as I go that means I wash a dish and place it to air dry in the dishwasher. And so, any time I need a dish /cup/ saucer/pan whatever, I simply reach into the dish washer/airer and I never have a cluttered bench-top sink or drainer - simple. And I can overload the machine because it never runs. My sliver flatware and gold detailed china remains pristine without pit or wear marks.
ОтветитьVery happy to know I've been doing this right my entire life
ОтветитьNo I don’t agree baby bottles I have to rinse 1st if not after the bottle finished in the wash cycle it’s cloudy and not fully cleaned. So I do not agree
Ответить😊
ОтветитьJust learning this after 18 years of life, thank you so much.
ОтветитьHow to load a single blade dishwasher?
ОтветитьTyler fights with his wife about how the dishwasher is loaded. Sounds right
ОтветитьThere isn’t anything new I haven’t done for decades. But if I don’t rinse I get gritty stuff especially on top of upside down cups.
ОтветитьFinally, a man tells me how to load the dishwasher. Been hearing it exclusively from women my whole life.
ОтветитьThank you for such short, yet detailed and straight to the point explanation! You go "problem - cause - solution" and I love it, it makes it easier to remember and I have much less anxiety about doing something wrong.
ОтветитьI mostly load mine from behind
ОтветитьThe last tip was such an Aha-moment for me. Thanks a lot!
ОтветитьNo food is ever put on bottom of dish. So your saying the soap would crack the bottom of this dish. I call total bs!! If soap is going to wear on the dishes and crack them, I don't want that soap. Sounds like bs. Bc everyone would be replacing dishes every few yrs. They don't. And that soap would be pitting silicone and plastic. It doesn't
ОтветитьShit… I was doing everything wrong
