I'm practicing how to aim using controller right now

i prefer the comfortability of using a controller but i can’t deny how much i enjoy the regular fast paced experience on my ipad.

its not hard ,u need to try at least for week ad only in one week u can see its very easy .
and after its still hard for u ...
then U have some Skilll issues🥲

I had the same issue but I think is just because we don't have much practice, anyway I only had two options, practice more or break my keyboard.

Genshin is more compatible with ps4/ps5 controller when you see the Key Maps the default mapping is for a ps4/ps5 controller.

I got used to the controller within 3 days, now I can play on all 3 devices without any problem. For aiming, I use gyro with min settings to make minor angle adjustments in the game. But that does depends on whether your controller supports gyro or not.

I can’t play Genshin with mouse and keyboard on PC. It’s a lot of work. Way easier with a controller. That and I’m used to playing on Mobile so adapting wasn’t difficult

You just got a bootleg controller, no wonder it is hard for u. The joystick mainly only go in 4 direction (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°) unlike actual controller. Imagine u can only move your mouse to 4 direction

It is hard ( pause ) but you will slowly or maybe quickly get used to it.

as an ipad player, switching to controller made genshin so much easier lol, and allowed me to have better posture while sitting on a desk.

Aiming with bows is hard the first time but you ll adapt to it, i ve been practicing with childe so now i can master my ganyu more easily

well i know i am late, but i play with controller a lot and is easier than keyboard... this mostly true for melee combat, but the main problem with aim in genshin impact is the sensivity i cant find the sweet spot or is too slow or is too fast, but thats mostly game fault.. about the tecnique you mention if what i think is what i think it it (i am not a bow user), still can be done with controller just keep the ´X´buttom hold like half second then release and repeat... i recomend map that buttom to ´RB´or ´RT´, but it can be done, i was practicing a little last week and i manage to pull it very often.

Unfortunately, the PC version has poor controller support.
You need a keyboard/mouse as well, to navigate the launch screens, and, as you saw, enable the controller support.
That is sooooo dumb.
The game should automatically detect the controller, like every other modern game does.

A tip for using a controller. Make sure you have both camera and bow aiming sensitivity set to max~ it’ll feel a lot more smoother snd easier to control(ler)~

…meaning that I’d rather have my thumbs not covering the portion of the screen, except for when I have to do some commissions that just require aiming with a bow.

When it comes to bow user commissions, I switch back to touch and have gyro aiming active as it makes the commission a lot more easy and fun.

I've played genshin with a controller hooked up to my laptop and now I forgot how to play it with a keyboard lmao.

Aiming is hard at first. But if you practice and/or change sensitivity settings to your liking, you can do headshots consistently.
I've been having fun doing aim shots on Eye of the Storms with Amber as aim practice.

On mobile, it was pretty similar to that when aiming a bow. Until they made it better in one of the versions, I forgot which one

Remap your atk button to R1, Jesus dude it's not that hard, it's actually easier

Actually, aiming using controller is easy. You just need to hold R1 and press the Normal Attack button. You can move the thing at the right you put your thumb on to move your aim.

Ok, I play FPS on controller from 4 years old, but still genshin aiming on controller is hard.

As someone who plays genshin on the ps4 it gets easier over time to aim but it is kinda annoying to aim on controller so I get where your coming from.
