Hi Robb what set up did you use I can't find any recommendations charts on hsc lsc adjustments thanks Callum. Just had a x2 damper upgrade
ОтветитьIs it easy to service?
ОтветитьDid you intentionally run the fork super soft to make it look good on the slow mo or is that the way fox recommended you set it up?
ОтветитьSuper 😮😊
ОтветитьWhere can I get one
ОтветитьYou have a dream job
ОтветитьBu sanfransisco köprüsünün altından defalarca geçtim iskele tafında alcatraz bulunur sancak tarafında ise sanfransisco port bulunur bu körfez sularında Great White Shark bulunur aman dikkat yüzmeyin
ОтветитьDoes the grip x damper have the larger pistons and increased number of shims?
ОтветитьSo like why didn't they make it in Fox orange? I'm sad.
ОтветитьI wonder what it is that gives us all different views ? I'm an Ohlins 38 M2 preferer. BUT .... I've just ordered an EXT ERA LT. So, I'm looking forward to see how that compares to the Fox 38 and the ZEB
ОтветитьBuy it. Because it's new. So buy it...
Ответитьwow. The way you ride that bike looks amazing. Perfect Technique. I wish i could ride like you.
ОтветитьCan you buy the Grip X2 cartridge individually to install into an existing Fox 38 Factory 180mm?
ОтветитьYes, I really want a 190mm version too. The ZEB is available with 190mm, but because I'm very heavy and ride the fork with a lot of air pressure, the ZEB is just far too progressive for me, even without volume spacers. Even without volume spacers, it is impossible for me to utilize the full travel of a ZEB, no matter how hard I jump in the flat. The air spring on Fox dips significantly deeper into the travel, which means it still works quite well even at 135-140 PSI if you open the compression completely and remove the volume spacers completely. A ZEB is significantly more progressive with equivalent air pressure (The ZEB needs less air pressure in the positive chamber for the same SAG) and open compression and it is impossible to use more than 60-70% of the spring travel. For light riders the Fox probably dips too deep into the travel because the negative chamber is larger than the ZEB, but for riders between 100kg and 135kg the Fox 38 is better suited in my opinion. But that is just my personal opinion.
ОтветитьWhy don't fox make mtb forkes like mx forkes, usd?
ОтветитьI can’t afford that anyway so will stick to watching and buying aftermarket stuff.
ОтветитьI also don't care too much about the GripX2 but man... your improved riding skills are absolute pleasure to watch!
Ответитьand................. 95% of the riders out there won't even know they riding the new dampener. MTB is becoming like golf. Selling snake oil to gullible folk to make them think it will better their game. Shiny new things...
Ответить£1400??? £1500??? 😅😅
ОтветитьJust got a Fox 38 grip 2 for my old Kona stinky Aire and upgraded to 50mm wide 27.5 wheel and tires. Should ride like new again.
Ответить90% of riders that buy that fork wont even be adjusting the dampening xD
ОтветитьAwesome meeting you down in CA, Rob! Fantastic video- I watched the whole thing and agree with you, tho I never got a chance to try GripX2, only GripX. Still- the GripX was quite a well built fork. See you around! 🤙
ОтветитьI love Kashima, but this new color scheme is an eyesore, imho.
ОтветитьGreat review and video Rob, but I think it’s sac religious to run those huge red SRAM Maven brakes on a Fox fork. I think Hopes or Trickstuff would be more appropriate. I would like to know how the new Fox compares to the EXT on the Sonni though. 😎👍🏼
ОтветитьSince you are now adding compression to the fork at a much higher rate than the Grip2, it only stands to reason that this new fork will ride higher in its travel.
ОтветитьYou were able to enjoy or Norcal trails!
ОтветитьSo the big question.... can existing Fox forks be upgraded to the new dampers?
ОтветитьOnly ridden lower end bikes. Any bike with dual suspension with more than 130mm is a huge upgrade for me.
ОтветитьI love how its just, "increased the valve from 20mm to 28mm." Like, ok, that probably means something to a suspension engineer. What advantage does that have? More valves means we get more clicks of adjustment? Or do you literally have to send it in so Fox can adjust the valves. Thats cool, but probably only for Pros.
ОтветитьI agree, Id buy the limited edition in gold to put on my Gold Polè Vikkela if they made a 190.
ОтветитьSame CSU for another 5 years or forever maybe. :)
ОтветитьI run the 38 with the regular grip damper. Still feels great to me and is hella simple to set up. Something to be said for simplicity.
ОтветитьWill the new damper fit in any 38 or just the new one.
ОтветитьWhat is the default brake disc size?
ОтветитьZłoty a skromny 😂
ОтветитьEnough with this B's no difference between 5 years ago it's still the same
ОтветитьOh wow 23 shims instead of 7. Have you seen the shimstack on the rock shox charger?
ОтветитьWould look great on the 2023 Crestline coppertop
ОтветитьCompare it to ohlins, for emtb
ОтветитьToo much bling!
ОтветитьSteezy riding Rob! Great trail clips. 👊
ОтветитьCan't wait to see the photos of that gold fork from people that clearly spend more time making their bike look "bling" than actually ride it.
ОтветитьI don't care too much about the GripX2 but man... this trails and the riding content of this video!!!! What the hell! Thats effort to take such perfect scenes! Crazy well done!
Ответитьpretty cool. Nice review. My bougie a$$ is more concerned with the colorway tho.. wonder if there will be other options..., not that into the browny gold, takes away from the Kashima coating & keeps it from popping...
ОтветитьI'd like to see what Shockwiz on that would show. The best just got better. 190mm, yes, I agree. Great video reveiw as always Rob, the community loves your work, thank you.
ОтветитьGreat, made complicated stuff more complicated
Ответитьeverything you need to know about these forks- far too expensive- airspring has too much stiction- will be overstuffed with grease- will be no different on the trail to any other fox fork. coul spring still far far far far better in every single way
ОтветитьCan you just install the new damper in the last year models ?
Ответить
