BMW iDrive CCC force reboot reset (E60 E90 E63 E87 X5 X6)

Perfect! E92 CCC unit decided to freeze on the reverse screen. Other pages said hold eject for both CD & DVD… but the button you pressed (mute) as well; worked a treat.

The OP has never addressed the barrage of questions regarding the reset of the non-dvd ccc system.

This is fine except that the E70 X5 has the dvd player in the glove box, so unless you have a 3rd arm, this won't work. Managed to press all 3 buttons on the E70 and nothing happens.

Thank you very much, after repairing a broken PDC sensor wire, I realised the beeps weren't working but now they are!!

my e90 idrive screen still working but it seems like going to blanks...can i use this method?🤔

As they said, this is only for the CCC iDrive system. To those without the DVD player you either have CIC or M-ASK systems. So many people commenting about not being able to do this because it isn't applicable to them. For those with the boot loop issue (bmw logo and shuts back off to bmw logo again) this will not help you.

Similar problem on my x5 keep blinking but don't start 😒
