The gravity drive makes me think of biblically accurate angels.

Event horizon got me more as a kid for the psychological horror more so than the body horror stuff. It just really created the feeling of isolation and the fact it was these people basically doing it to themselves and being controlled that was just like wild as a kid. A very visceral fear.

One of my favourite scifi horrors of mine <3¨

Also: strange thought but... with all the budgets of the states, soviet and lets say China... Anyone else besides me that thinks one of those states MUST have sent atleast one poor fucker out to space just to record the effects it would have on the human body? US military budget alone dwaaarfs NASA's budget... Like, they even built an own JWST for the military to watch earth. How could they Not just push some fool out and sat there with cameras? Feels like.. they must have? Haha

What they took out of the movie was really horrific. You may have to watch the making of because the movie is really tame to what they did remove. What destroyed the movie was the acting. It was some of the worst acting I have ever seen. There wasn't any real relationships between the characters. The acting fell flat. There are movies which have many actors say in some space movie you can feel if the crew has a foundation. For instance like in the movie Alien. Superb acting, and foundation but with Event Horizon you don't get it. That is the only thing which made a movie which could have been a solid 7 into a 3.

The spinning core thing looks like a biblically accurate angel, they were described as being rings covered in eyes plus it would be more religious symbolism

I disagree on the tunnel light being the pupil when she runs after the vision of her son. Imo it represents safety and the, "light at the end of the tunnel" idea. So she was drawn back from paradise and safety and back into hell.

Never seen this movie before, but I definitely wanna check it out now even though I know what’s gonna happen xD

By the way! Is it just me, or does the Gravity Drive look like an Ophanim? One of those biblically accurate angels? 🧐

Question? How did we get to the conclusion that we can’t survive in space? Was there any test with humans or did we just rely on a bunch of 1s and 0s to get us to the conclusion?

While I like the film, for myself I wish it had stuck with the ramping psychological horror as we repeatedly ask "Is he just going mad or are there really unknown horrors out there?" or The film was a full-on horror from the get-go...
...I found the "From Death Till Dawn" transition from one to the other jarring rather than fun.

Well I mean yes he could have hit the disarm tab. However if anything of the Android operating system is carried over to these user interfaces. You would first have to unlock the screen. Which is hopelessly stupid because I should never have been shown the settings screen without the phone being unlocked . For Me this makes the entire South korean-based company Samsung seem like they have nefarious intent . Enough about that though..
. Then! Supply his password. So if any of these bad jokes carried over into new technology he was doomed. Just as we all are.

The warp is just an amalgamted rip off of the abrahamic hell and cthulu mythos, so no, this is not a 40k movie as both of those predate 40k by decades at minimum.
