Hi All!

Of all the abstract art styles, expressive abstract painting is my favorite because the process of layering colors upon colors, adding marks, and sometimes collage is so liberating. In this piece I walk you through the steps I took to achieve an abstract painting with lots of depth achieved with a few unique techniques.

MATERIALS:
CANVAS: 8" x 8" Canvas Board
ACRYLICS: FolkArt Raw Sienna, Blue Echo, and Midnight; Arteza Van Dyke Brown; black cut with alcohol; white, cream
ARRTX SOFT PASTELS: Dark Wine, Gray Blue, Bright Blue, Gold, Orange
STENCILS: Small dots
GLAZE: Burnt Umber, alcohol, some glycerin
MARKERS: King Sized Black Sharpie
OTHER: CVS Pure Glycerin and 99% Alcohol
TOOLS: soft brushes, palette knife, scraping tools

Thank you for watching! Enjoy!

FORMER CHANNEL: You might been familiar with my old channel, Junk Draw Journals, that I retired after 10 months (with 1270 subscribers) because I want to do just abstract vs journaling. I did both there, but I want to fully focus on abstracts. I hope you found me again!!!

Thank you so much for watching. If you are new to my channel, I hope you will subscribe, like. and share my content. Also, hit the bell so you get notified when I upload new videos every week!
