nice vlog guys, and yes, pretty rational observation, Dubrovnik is way overpriced but still popular af.... city with tradition and history even b4 game of thrones although peoples opsession with tv shows just beefed up prices in all segments. cool place to see and have a blast for those who don't care to splash few grand a week beeing overthere... visiting on tight budget is a skill for those who can manage
ОтветитьStreets made of marble, just incredible. There was a cuban cigar shop near the entrance. I'm cuban but not a smoker, regardless, It was cool to see my flag displayed on a window of this beautiful old city. But if my memory serves me right, they did have a strict no Croc policy. Don't shot the messanger. lol
ОтветитьHi guys, I was wondering whether otdering a tap water is for free at the restaurants? Will travel there at soon and wanna know these things. 😅
ОтветитьExcellent blog
ОтветитьGreat video and commentary 👍
ОтветитьYour videos of Croatia's coast are very good, they make me as a Croatian from the inland want to visit our coast! But if you are looking for a more "Balkan" feeling in Croatia then maybe a part of the costal i teriour closer to Bosnia is what you are looking for. The coast from north to south has more of an Italian feeling, and the inland which you still need to visit, is more like Hungary and Austria.
ОтветитьThank you for describing the city in my country so nicely but objectively!! Greetings from city Osijek from Croatia!!
ОтветитьHats off to you both. This has to be the best expose on the old town of Dubrovnik anywhere. Congrats...and I have been going there since the 1980's. As for the prices - well the rise is quite ridiculous, but then again the place is totally unique.
ОтветитьI think Dubrovnik is magical. Love the aerial view of the red roofs. Didn't realise they had city beaches.
ОтветитьBuy yourself a kayak for 2-3 hundred euros and paddle all day every day. 40 quid= rip off.
ОтветитьBeautiful. Too crowded. Too expensive. Maybe just a day-visit.
ОтветитьI love your blog, I am praud Croatian. I am from coast a d now live in Zagreb is also great❤❤
ОтветитьYou must see Skradin beetwin Sibenik and Zadar. Also great citys.❤❤
ОтветитьBrilliant video. We went today in September. The heat is still very oppressive
ОтветитьVisited Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia this summer. Bosnia has my heart ♥️
ОтветитьCroatia is not islamic country to be Balkans. Nothing oriental is there. 😊 Balkan is turkish word. Means - the balcony!😊 In Germany you can find many kebab shops. But is it also Balkans? Or is the England in Asia, because of asian reataurants or shops?
ОтветитьIf you drink many beers, the sea will be colder.
ОтветитьNext time you eat: the fish, octopussies, shells... the real croatian food. Not the burek and the fast balkans food, as you did. This is not Croatia. We have, also, Mc Donald's but we are not USA. And pizza you can also find in Croatia! But?😊😊😊 The video is super!
ОтветитьI don't understand your concern to save every penny. You are in a beautiful historic place! It is good to be informative but do you really want to pay a euro less? Being overly concerned with how much money you spend at every turn diminishes that good feeling. If the kayak experience is too expensive at 40 euros, is it then worth it at 35 or maybe 30 euros? It seems you enjoyed the food at 9 euros for a tasty bite but you said it costs less in a different city. Well in the U.S. McDonalds meal is over $20 would you rather have that?
ОтветитьDrinking game- Everytime they say “Game Of Thrones,” you have to do a shot.
I have never seen as much a one minute of that show
Nice info..Thanks 🙂
ОтветитьCroatia has changed so much, not what it used to be. Their taxation and prices not just for tourists but for workers and is just so ridiculously crowded and expensive compared to bordering countries, Italy, Greece, Montenegro.
A tip stay at Cavtat just down the road much nicer, cheaper and less crowded and a 40 minute small ferry ride at 15 Euro return, beats a 40Euro Kayak.
Dubrovnik almost has an amusement park feel to it now which is sad and the wages they get are pitiful approximately 800 Euro a month for hospitality workers and most have to travel at least an hour to and from as they cannot afford to live in Dubrovnik.
Super beautiful in this Croatia city video Super beautiful 👌👌👌👌👌
Ответить@dabbleandtravel Lovely Croatia and super lovely creature your spouse is 🔥😍
ОтветитьBeautiful Croatia! ❤
Ответить🇭🇷
ОтветитьOctober is a good time to visit Dubrovnik! Still varm, not crowdy! 👍♥️
Ответитьheading here soon fantastic video ! Kayaks wow dear !
ОтветитьLast place to see balcan is Dubrovnik...
ОтветитьYou never watched the best series ever🤷♂...The game of thrones? 🤨😮😲 Shame🤨...Shame🤨...Shame🤨....😂🤣😅
ОтветитьAwesome view nice video 👍🥰
ОтветитьYou can hike up instead! It's a beautiful hike and honestly the museum at the top isn't all that much. Just hike it! Its worth it!
ОтветитьThats the place i was born and i lived all my life there almost .On the opposite side is big building where i use to live . That is not Gruz its Batala or ragusea .Gruz is more further down to the port
ОтветитьDubrovnik is the most expensive place in Croatia but for a reason.
Ответитьone thing about tourists like you is that you hate tourists
like aren’t you two tourists doing touristy thing then why are you hating other tourists
there is no such thing as a hidden spot or undiscovered place since instagram has every location explored by people like you
Great vid.
Ответитьfor people living here the cruise ships are he//...locals would love for people to spend more time in the town than just few hours licking an ice cream, taking pictures mindlessly, shitting and then leaving the same day :* consider that Dubrovnik is from around 6st century
ОтветитьSo you didn't know it would be hot in Dubrovnik in July? I think their should be a min age to these travel videos...over 40 or I don't think you are smart enough to travel.
ОтветитьA Croatian here. Been to Dubrovnik more times than I can remember.
Certainly a must-see place in Croatia. And ridiculously overpriced. During the peak summer season far too overcrowded and best to avoid it.
Lets be honests we all came here for the girl
ОтветитьSome restaurants and bars pay very high rents, especially in the old town, and that is the reason for the higher prices, as well as Croatia's switch to the Euro currency. But there are fast food places where you will pay 6 euros for a good burger, as well as bars where a large draft beer is 4.5 euros, such as Time Out Cafe, where you can play billiards, darts, and watch all possible matches. So Dubrovnik is really cheap if you make a little effort and ask local people like me for advice. Good video and you are a good couple, best regards.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьIf it is 40 degrees why don't you wear hats, haven't you heard about skin cancer or heat exhaustion.
ОтветитьHey local here - those orange fenced off spots on Mt. Srđ are for blocking off spaces that have yet to be fully swept for landmines during war and loose boulders. This winter we had the rocks from the very spot you’re sitting fall all the way down onto the road killing two people in their car. Just a friendly reminder for tourists to pay attention to what’s fenced off. Here in Croatia we are relaxed, so if there’s a rule to follow there is a reason (: glad you are safe! Nice video. Come to Dubrovnik again 😊
Ответитьčinio mi se lep ovaj grad dok nisam saznao da ga posećuje Vladana Medić
ОтветитьIt’s a wonderful places but the prices are so expensive that I quickly regretted my decision to visit and made it one of the worst European holidays for me.
ОтветитьDo you think the prices were reasonable? Let us know😅
