I once borrowed a GoPro 3. Finally pulled the trigger and got myself my very own GoPro, 12 black. There was a setting on the 3 in video mode where every 10 seconds of video it would take 3 photos. Has that mode been eliminated since you can now simply go capture individual moment off of a video? Literally, this was the only place I found that described the charging process. Simple, but critical step.

I just got mine yesterday. Is it right that i cant zoom in and out while recording? Yesterday i was at the emd of a lane and in the distance i saw 2 deer. With my phone i zoomed in to show what you couldnt see with eye alone (although blurry and wobvly). Seems weird that a camera wouldnt have that capability 🤔 im out with my dog a lot and he moves back and forwards a lot so i want to be able to follow him alone as he moves away from me.

GoPro could have dropped "professional" features that are seldom used, and keep the GPS which is much more useful. The flat profile was more than enough for color grading. I don't know who's brainstorming there but they managed to make me love more my older GoPros, 10, 9, 7, 6 and 4, and the Karma Grip. I have live preview on the hero 7, 6, 4 and 3 so I don't need the 12 with no GPS. Also in terms of runtimes, the 12 is not better than the 10 or 9@4k60fps. I've tested it. So if they want to sell the 12, they have to bring out a GPS bluetooth remote. That's the only thing that could make me and others reconsider my decision.

Hi everyone, does hero 12 heats a lot? I just bought one and as soon as I turn in on it's getting super warm....please suggest if I should complaint to get it replaced or it is common with this device.

I broke the microphone bypass button, I glued it on, will it be a problem? I left an opening for water drainage

Have now got my GoPro, but eveeytime I put the Sdcard in, it recommends reformatting, which I am trying to do via the GoPro - but nothings happening! Do you think the Sdcard is at fault? I purchased a SanDisk Ultra 64GB. Any advice would be welcome! Thankyou

does the quik app have rights to your photos and videos if you use the app to upload your files?

I just purchased the hero 12 and completed the setup and updates. When setting the video quality to 5.3k I can only use 40 frames per minute. It will not let me select 60 fpm. Could it be other settings I'm using?
