ClutchMax Review - Don't buy an ebay clutch until you see this..

I had issues first clutch lasted 6 months an 4500 miles an pressure plate broke in half now second clutch an it slips doesn't seem to go away clutchmax garbage , so now i'am putting a sachs clutch in car hope it works

Junk I put one in my fully built gti and wen it gets hot you will have shifting problems

Man I just bought the stage 2 clutch on my civic eg and it won’t go into gears while the car is on. F them !!!! Had to pull the transmission out again!! It’s the clutch max suck ass!!

Clutch max pro is junk liturgy blew mine apart with a stock car

Another problem is the stuff included. Many Ebay Chevy LS clutch kits come with NON oem throwout bearing/slave cylinder/pilot bearing. You really need the OEM stuff since there really isn't much for an aftermarket on those certain parts.

I bought the stage 2 clutch kit. It was a bitch and a half to get the transmission on. I ended up pulled the entire motor out, and still couldn’t get it to mate by myself. Eventually was able to thread on some bolts and slowly worked around to each one guiding it in and it worked out. Clutch felt good, had no issues for the 800 miles I drove it. Sold the car

I had their Stage 5 unsprung kit on a bone stock JDM B20B and threw 16psi at it (380whp) on E. Pulled the motor 8 months later after beating the absolute dogshit out of it and the clutch was still at probably 50-60% overall life left with zero heat marks on either the clutch or flywheel. I probably wouldn't use it on an expensive motor, but if you're throwing together a shitbox it's perfect for $199.99.

Did it work?

I ordered one for my cadge stratus and it fit perfect. After 200 miles I had to replace it. The eBay listing says it won’t fit my vehicle. I contacted the company and simply wanted to order the right one not a refund. They were total di(is. Now I will order from a different company. The order I put in says it will fit when I originally ordered it. The pressure plat spring diaphragm was 1/2 in lower than the stock one. Clearly it was the wrong one. They still swear it was right. I’ll never used that company again.

I had clutchmax stage 3 for 2 years, but absolutely destroyed it with drifting and daily. Not bad for a budget option, it lasted 30-40k driving miles and 6 aggressive track days.

You may have simply been unlucky here or some one packaged the wrong parts for you. After reading reviews and researching results, I bought a stage 2 Clutch Max kit and it also came with a lightweight flywheel. It was installed with my motor swap on my 2012 WRX. It was so grabby and stiff the first few drives all 4 wheels would spin from a stop. I tend to pound the living shit out of it every other day and the quality is just fine after a good few months. Wish your luck was better for this one, felt good to save money on a clutch kit.

I have their stage 3 kit in my EP3 Si K24A2+Type S trans swap, works fine, no issues over 2 years now(with weekends abuse). I guess it's a hit or miss.

Dam I just bought is and it arose tomorrow

I put that on my vw vr6 turbo makes 512hp been on my car 2 years now zero issues and my break in was on the Dyno 5 pulls later tunes and straight to the track. Abuse after abuse!

My mk4 and a4 clutch from them work. I sanded my middle center hole & pressed it on crank worked perfectly. Don't use the washers due to thread engagement.

Shit I just got the stage 2 at my door step. For a 93 integra.. hope this shit hold up. It's just a daily. Just refreshed the b20 on it and decided to order this cheaper clutch.
