So many things i find relatable in this song except for the part where he found his special someone. I can understand wanting to be loved and the need to feel the warmth of another but having the worst luck in finding that person but never asking for sympathy or pity from anyone, i'm the same way. But nowadays real love's something that's all but extinct and those of us who truly believe in it are the ones who'll never find their special someone. If being a 34 year-old virgin with almost 20 single and alone isn't proof enough that i'm right then i don't wanna know what is. All i ever wanted was to matter to someone as more than a friend- so much for trying. thank you and good day/night.

My Grandad has just passed away and whilst going through his CD's and stuff, I came across this band... I must admit I'd never heard them before but by gum, they are brilliant and I think my Grandad had some good taste (he had lots more different genres and other rock bands too). He wasn't a rocker or anything, he just liked music. RIP Bob.

Was getting into hard rock and metal back in the late 90's having discovering the likes of Van Halen, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Skid Row and of course later Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Metallica, Megadeth, Savatage, Sepultura, Overkill and so forth. I was up all night one evening watching the VH1 Friday Rock Show in the UK as hosted by the late, great Tommy Vance. He played this song. I had never heard of Thunder before and was blown away by this masterpiece. It had jackhammer riffs, a fiery solo, thunderous drums and almost operatic vocals yet it was very heartfelt and soulful. Loved this band ever since and they are one of the reigning British hard rockers.

I sat down , the song played for the first time . I knew instantly it was a hit ! Not the greatest hit of all time , but MY greatest hit of all time .
