The jump from The original Xbox and PS2 to XBOX 360/PS3 was huge. Over 10 years later and graphics are just slightly upgraded compared to this.

One of my favorite games but man the controls drove me bonkers and the music was awesome

Wondering why Survival Horror Network never played the Alone in the Dark games. Sure the last one from 2015 was very trash but every other games up to Inferno were pretty good.

Tbh, this game was never meant for children to play due to its complexity & lack of tutorial.

But honestly speaking, i got stuck in this game and unable to play further due to lack of ammo and enemy just kills me. Overall not an enjoyable game..

damn this game was a technical marvel, effects like fire, fog and water, lighting etc. still look really impressive, and some of the stuff with physics and world interactivity is impressive too.

The Graphics are marvelous. And they must have spent so much efforts to develop this game. It is definitely a must see. But it is too difficult. Alone in the Dark 1-3 had a multicoloured atmosphere. Espescially 2 is charming. But the atmosphere of this game is just grimm. Just killing Zombies. Just Brown Gray fires everywhere. Moving is ok, but the stearing in general is too difficult, making the tasks not fun to deal with. I guess the developers knew of the flaws and made it easy to skip scenes undoable with a PC keyboard. On the other hand the marvelous graphics make you want to come back. Just to skip to the next scene. The best thing what you can do with the game is, enjoy this walkthrough and stop bothering even installing it. I like to bother with more colorfull and atmospheric deviation. An A for the Graphics and efforts to make this game. But a D for its frustrating playability. There are healthier and more prosperous ways to spend my time.

THIS GAME IS FUCKING TERRIBLE. Just bought it play it till first "boss" fight with the pink sweater woman. Controls are fucking bad, mechanics are shite, and some controls and devs' key choice are fucking retarded. PRINT SCREEN? WHO THE FUCK USES PRTSCN AS A CONTROL... and game was made in 2008. PC controls are stupid af.

I remember when this game came out I was so excited but then when I played it, it wasn't a bad game but what made it terrible was going from third person to first person view when fighting I don't know what the developers were thinking doing that but it pissed me off at the time and the ending sucked. This game you can probably get on PC and if you can that first person should give the opinion to shut off because it's stupid it was a dumb mechanic then and it's a dumb mechanic now just watching it. SMH

i bought this game as a gift for my brother but he was more into guitar hero, saints row, and gta. so of course, little 6 year old me picked up the controller and played. i couldn’t tell what was going on, and i could never make it past chapter 3. i didn’t know how to save the game, so i had to keep reloading it every time i wanted to play. every single time i loaded it up, it felt different and i think it had to do with the driving section. no clue if it’s RNG but i highly doubt it. fast forward to now and i’ve seen my brother play through this game a couple of different times. this game actually ended up being one of his favorites. of course i reminded him how i bought it for him as a gift like 10+ years ago but he said he didn’t remember it lol. i still have yet to fully complete it but i’ll definitely end up getting around to it. thanks for this gameplay and thanks for an opportunity to reminisce.
