This just shows that brands like Fender and Gibson are that close to have guitare that both sound and look good, but are not wiling to go the extra-mile to make their instruments better... like gibson not adding a bevel behing the headstock in case the guitar falls down. It's simple to fix, almost unnoticeable, all the other major brands do it but nahh
And don't get me started on these super uncomfortable Fender bridge saddles

To get the most out of a strat.. I made my own 3-step resoldering of the pickups mostly to get a "humbucker on demand". I also removed one tone knob and put the remaining 2 one step down to get the volume knob away.

Finally putting a small killswitch in the remaining hole as the sugar on the donut😎

Well if they were perfect they would not be fun anymore. Its the way they sound. The Lester is a poorly designed guitar and is a bitch to play but its part of the challange. Poor access to the upper notes. Broken headstocks etc. Which can easily be fixed. But its an icon.

I honestly hate jazz masters, and I've literally wrestled strats into tonal oblivion, but I will never not be after that next strat. And I know one day I will own a fucking jazzmaster

Les Pauls binding between the bridge and nut can easily be fixed with a small touch of graphite paste at string changes. The string goes out of tune because it was bound up and you weren’t actually at the correct tension to begin with. Combine that with properly wrapping your string around the tuner or changing to locking tuners and Les Pauls stay in tune for most of a session. The negative internet forces may disagree but I’ve been playing these things for well over a decade.

I love the volume control location on a Strat. That's the #1 reason I use it so much.

I have a Ibanez Jem Jr.(Steve Vai edition), an Epiphone SG, Squier Strat, and an acoustic Taylor GS mini. I can't afford a Fender, and I've heard their quality control isn't so good lately.
I play the Squier daily.

From my 30 + collection i agree except for les paul its a price u pay on g string but the reward is that midrange. I sold all my prs's cause i could never get the bloom that i get from my pauls, v's, explorers, sg's unless i go with boutique companys. I have 2 teles modifyed but deslike fender! Bright crowed punishers too bright with no spine & prs right behind! Except for mcarty model. But good video. Guess we all have our own tastes just like europe & stars & stripes witch we know not mutch taste there but thats another story. Long live american guitars! U do have that

What a waste if time

I actually fell for the Les Paul G-string nonsense and didn't even bother playing one till a couple of years ago. Now I have a LP Special and a Tribute. The P-90s in the Special are sublime. That Special has been #1 since I got it. Go figure.
