Fernando Alonso is a phenomenal driver inspite of not winning more championship title. Even at this age past 40, he still competing at high level with the rest of current crop of younger drivers in 2023 season.

In my opinion we tend to neglect the importance of intellect in motorsports, and im pretty sure Mr Alonso has a way above normal IQ. his ability to read situations and adapt as well as use his experience from former races etc gives him an extreme advantage. Give him checos drive and max would have a bad day hehe. not shitting on max, he surely is this eras number one, no question.

Great to hear from greatest legend F1 has produced and I hope the new regs in 2026 and Honda power will bring the championship to Alonso and Aston Martin. The huge investment made with the new facilities and wind tunnel will reap its rewards, fingers crossed!

Loving this podcast. F1, Rocket Science and Special Forces have this unique mindset of squeezing all the performance they can and thriving towards excellence. Love what Fernando said about the painful side of it that chase, feedback and the need to analyse failure.

When Fernando started beating Michael it was very hard for me to watch that and stopped watching F1 for some time. It's something I regret. Of course I can go back and watch the races but it's only in hindsight. What a legend!!

A wonderful interview providing deep insight into both what it takes to succeed at a fantastically challenging sport as well as to be able to lay claim to having lived a life well. One of the least recognized aspects of motor racing and other highly competitive endeavors is the virtual necessity of being able to focus tightly while at the same remaining open to and inquisitive the many other aspects of living. Alonzo's driving skills are legendary and speak for themselves but this deep dive into his personality and feelings about life in general revealed a depth of character and breadth of intelligence that have fueled his success. Fascinating!

Parece que los entrevistadores necesitan una sesion de terapia, estas preguntas dice mas sobre ellos que sobre el driver. Creo que esta entrevista podria haber sido muchisimo mejor,, ten;eis a uno de los mejores drivers ahi sentado, y no creo que le hayais sacado partido. Por mi parte yo veo a Alonao mas incomodo y desconcertado por las estupidas preguntas. Y dejando incluso a un lafo todo esto.. personalmente me ha parecido super aburrida y el tono parecia que estabamos en un entierro. Primer video que veo de estos chicos, Not my cup of musk. Una lastima. Por lo dem'as : Grande Alonso!!!!!!

To be honest, the line of questioning has become very boring in these interviews, its the same every time. It would be better if someone who has achieved excellence in sport asks the questions, who is also a good interviewer, someone like Jeremy Snape.
