So many nights of my youth were spent at Adverntureland and on that tooth-shattering Wild Mouse.
ОтветитьAmazing and very informative video! You can tell your put some time into this. Well done and thanks for the upload!
ОтветитьNemesis at Alton Towers is also a B&M coaster
Ответитьthank you for calling the RCT2 expansion packs garbage. they totally are, and it made me so sad as a kid.
ОтветитьTorille!
ОтветитьDo the same with the Thrill rides please!
ОтветитьKnowing the technical terms for different coaster variants makes attending an IRL theme park 10x more interesting
ОтветитьThe Mini Suspended Flying Coaster reminds me of a very rare credit called Skytrak at Go Kidz Go in Wolverhampton, UK. It's at an indoor play area near where I grew up and I was lucky enough to ride this when I was younger!
Love your videos! ♥️
Awesome video... I'm so glad somebody made this! Has been my dream since playing the game as a kid to ride all the coaster types represented in real life. I actually went way out of my way to Blackpool Pleasure Beach from the US just to ride the wooden wild mouse and steeplechase.. so sad the mouse is no longer there. Would love to see a similar video for the rest of the ride types!!
ОтветитьI've been playing Planet Coaster recently, but I forgot how many of these rides were there all the way back in the originla RCT.
ОтветитьLet me help you out! I'll give some UK examples, pre-1999, and US examples.
The Wooden Roller Coaster (4 Seat) was inspirited by Blue Flyer (formally Zipper Dipper) at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the UK, with a good US example being Bolder Dash at Lake Compounce in Connecticut.
The Junior Roller Coaster was inspired by Ladybird at Lightwater Valley in the UK. An example of one in the US is Catwoman's Whip (formerly Poison Ivy's Tangled Train) at Six Flags New England in Massachusetts. There's also Log themed trains with the closest I could find being Timber Ride at Legoland Billund in Denmark.
The Mini Coaster (Rocket Car) was mostly inspirited by the defuncted Zierer 4 Man Bob. A good example could of been the defuncted Space Invader 2 at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
The Mine Train Coaster is a cross between both the Arrow and Vekoma Mine Trains. The supports and trains that have a steam train front car are based on the ones built by Arrow like Runaway Mine Train at Six Flags Great Adventure and Carolina Cyclone at Carowinds. The track is based on Vekoma's Mine Trains, mostly Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland Paris.
The Mini Suspended Coaster was based on Batflyer at Lightwater Valley.
The Steel Wild Mouse that have the Mine Cars are also based on the ones built by Maurer, including Gotham City Gauntlet Escape from Arkham Asylum at Six Flags New England.
The Motobike Races is also an Arrow Steeplechase coaster at good example being the Motor Cycle Chase at Knott's Berry Farm in California before it was converted into Wacky Soap Box Racers.
This (and the sequels) has become frequent 'comfort viewing' for me .. wonderful selections from the RCT soundtracks and excellent pace and delivery. Thanks for putting this together!!
ОтветитьI could be wrong but I remember the inverted roller coaster (B&M inspired) was in the vanilla version but with 2 across seats. The 4 across cars were included in loopy landscapes expansion. I just remember it being odd that it was only a 2 across train but looked like B&M when playing several scenarios where I built that coaster model. The option for 2 or 4 was in the expansion and was for the inverted coaster, not the suspended looping coaster.
Ответитьclaps
ОтветитьVery cool video. Thanks!
ОтветитьTjat slc you ahowt was in the six flax holland parc. Thats condor. Terrible machine
ОтветитьWalibi belgium? that's not belgium showing.
ОтветитьThe SLC in the rct scenario is from the Holland park
ОтветитьI feel like the name of the channel leads to not as many views great videos though hope you keep making them.
ОтветитьActually the Motorbike Coaster was actually inspired by the one at Knott's Berry Farm as a Soap Box Derby Racers with Motorcycle themed trains.
ОтветитьIn rct classic the flying turns is a separate coaster type
ОтветитьVery nice vlog loved watching your vlogs. I saw another roller, coster rides, and vlogs that's @Zach’s Workshop go. Please watch his vlog @Zach’s Workshop. Thnx
ОтветитьCan you do a flat rides video for rct3
ОтветитьPretty sure the mini suspended coaster was inspired by a coaster at lightwater Valley in the UK
ОтветитьYou should expand this series to Planet Coaster and Parkitect
ОтветитьLong Island Represent 🙌🙌
Ответить"throw on rock style 2" I had to double check but hell yea that was my swinging ship staple.
ОтветитьWhat a brilliant video! Subscribed! 🎢
ОтветитьGreat underrated video thank you for this treat
ОтветитьThe picture of the swinging turns first with the planes (air race) and then the other one with the tipi infront (dreamcatcher). Im the operator for this coaster. Its in bobbejaanland belgium. I love operating it. It was first build als air race with the planes. But in 2008 the planes were changes and now its dreamcatcher
ОтветитьAnnoying editing.
ОтветитьThis was a really neat concept in your video, thoroughly enjoyed it.
ОтветитьNot all "reskins" are uninspired garbage. The corkscrew's limo and dragon trains are over-glorified designs based of Disney's Rock & Roller coaster and Marineland's Dragon Mountain respectively, same goes for the flying coaster's pterodactyl trains (Universal Japan's Flying Dinosaur) Also, "mine cart" style wooden trains were apparently planned for Knott's Berry Farm's original GhostRider (with lanterns and brake levers). Who knows, maybe the standup twister's surfing trains were what inspires the theme for SeaWorld Orlando's Pipeline the Surf Coaster! (I also guess the jetpack reverse freefall trains were based off the theming elements from Dreamworld's Tower of Terror, to make up for the fact the RCT ride could not feature the same track decorations)
ОтветитьWow pleasureland southport that was the nearest park to us growing up
ОтветитьThe Articulated Trains are the Millennium Flyer trains
ОтветитьI crank Rock Style 2 everyday, I’m Wayy ahead of ya, bud 😎
ОтветитьYour sound effects are VERY loud compared to the voiceover. :(
Ответить“While dodonpa still operates today”
2024 Fuji Q highland: we are sad to announce that dodonpa is closing permanently.
Hey! I really like the video, and from your other videos I know you use the mod, Openrct2, which raises limits and adds cheats into the game, but most importantly it adds 3 new coaster types as of writing this, and even though I play a lot of this game, I'm not exactly sure if there are new train types for any existing coasters. I would love it if you could make a video covering those coaster types as well. You're probably not going to see this comment, but if you do, then please let me know!
ОтветитьThe Air Powered Coaster is making its way to Planet Coaster 2
ОтветитьHearing that several coasters I have ridden are now defunct made me a special kind of sad. Thanks. I used to work right next to the XLC coaster in King's Dominion :(
At least the Rebel Yell is still there, even if it has been renamed to something else I can't remember right now in the years since. King's Dominion is kinda a mid park, overall, but Rebel Yell is a top-tier wooden roller coaster.
Ahhhh yeah Big Thunder Mountain
