My favorite Multi Class is Ranger/Monk. Pick Ranger's Blind Fighting and mix in Monk's Way of Shadow to cast Darkness. Now you attack multiple targets with advantage! And you barely get hit because attacks against you have disadvantage.

will the biter work with paladin rather then fighter? i want this for a greek inspired character

Without the artificier bit bc it fit more for the character to have only druid levels

I made a bonk, but instead of tortle I chose aracocra and using monk slow fall I became a living meteor. Granted it only works when I can fly up 200 ft but the damage is good and I take almost none of it

Huh, my take on a artificer-rogue went the path of a brewer/smuggler, loosely based on moonshine runners. Alchemist/ Scout rogue in this case. Is it a great build? Probably not, but the concept is fun enough for me to try it anyway

For my dwarf in CoS I’ve gone Artificer/bard, I was already decent with stuff for supporting the others so bard was just a natural progression…especially as I’ve already used Magic Mouth to mock a monster we fought but didn’t kill!

For the BONK, I've actually found something else that works insanly well - ancesteral guardian + open hand, and the mobile feat. With this, you can run in, hit an enemy, get them prone, then run away, and they'll never reach you.

along with the 2 levels of artificer. choosing thief as the rogue subclass and adding the feat healer makes an amazing combat medic. using spells to heal and control the battle field. then using the ability fast hands to use a healers kit as a bonus action to heal an ally in the middle of a boss fight can be a life saver.

Barb/monk multi class when you choose beast barbarian let's you attack 5 times in a turn. 1 regular weapon attack, 2 beast rage unarmed attacks, 2 flurry of blows unarmed attacks. Adding strength and rage damage up to 5 times is damn decent

the Artificer/Rogue subclass, I play more like Michael Weston from Burn Notice.

So, go Armorer and get the Infiltrator suit for the rogue.
Also, go into Scout for the Skirmisher ability.
The first combo is simply great.

Tavern breaker strength monks with rage/extra attack and the ability to throw people and flurry them and take a lot of damage and jump super far, it’s just so fun. The overlap in defense abilities isn’t that bad at all

With my Tortle build I have a 26 in ac with a 31 after sheild. My dm hates me

I have actually been thinking up a rogue/artificer for about 2 months now just cos the idea seemed cool

I've been really enjoying Barbarian/Artillerist Artificer. Since your cannon lasts until you long rest (or use a spell slot to make a new one) and isn't a spell, you can kick ass as a barbarian using your Action while using your Bonus Action to fire the cannon. The main issue is knowing when to Rage or just fire the cannon. But once you're already in Rage? RIP AND TEAR! And shoot.

Is it just me, or is that little band on your hat just perfectly places to make it look like you have one really long and curved eyebrow? Is that intentional? Gives you a unique look for sure, but I just can't unsee it now that I've pictured it as eyebrow instead of hat accessory...

It would also be flavorful for an inquisitor/ war cleric to wipe out pockets of heresy

Your Penny Pinching Priest reminds me of an early build I could never realize: the Holy Assassin (or what if your Criminal/Spy contact was a member of the church?)

I think I would go Twilight Soul Knife wood elf with Magic Initiate to grab Mage Hand (Hand of God), Sword Burst (reflavored as holy symbols), and a Find Familiar Tressym (Celestial Cat).

You know that just because you have a feature called "unarmored defense", doesn't mean you have to use it, right? You can just make your dex 14 and put on half plate, like a normal person.

No lie rogue for any other caster is just too good. Same as fighter. You can make anything better with a touch of fighter or some rogue. The bonk though I love, been trying to make that combo work for anwhile and glad to see someone nail it and get that tmnt vibe all in 1. The transformer/zoid is one I was contemplating. You only need high con int and wis for it(and wis not so much), so it can work but if you mess it up you get rek'd. The protector turret giving out temp hp like a twilight cleric is all kinds of broken and should be abused religiously. Also yes soul knife rogue and twilight cleric is something right out of warhammer 40k and I need more ppl to use it

I play as a half elf Cleric Nercomancer with Wanderer as my background. I rolled for all of my traits and personality as well, which all worked hand in hand. I am the last of my tribe, i was raised by wolves, i can observations on anything that happens around me and link it back to nature, my mind set is The weak die and The strong live. I even rolled to see what my human mother was, and i got nobility. Plus, being half elf and a Wanderer, i got 2 extra languages and chose Infernal and Abyssal. My elvin father was a God Tamer (he surrendered himself to beats he wanted to tame (rare creatures) to prove he wasn't a threat and gain their trust). And thanks to my father being a beast tamer, i was proficient in Animal Handling, along with History and Religion.

Here's a multiclass that might be more popular than I think:
Go blood hunter and use a hand crossbow with crossbow expert (variant human recommended for it)
Take at least two levels, the subclass is not imperative
Take levels in rogue

From the first rogue level your dpr raises substantially with more levels you become way tankier and skilled outside of combat while still getting extra sneak attack dice, and the blood curse only needs to be applied to the crossbow and it can even be done outside of combat
To me, it's a rogue that deals more damage and has weapon and armor proficiencies, so it's a better rogue, but you kinda have to go crossbow expert

Does a Warforged druid even make sense? Technically Druid don't use metal... I feel it goes against how druid work. I know there's no rules against it, but it feels weird to me.

She wasn't anything to write home about but I once built a tiefling rogue warlock: no better way to exploit the Darkness spell than with sneak attack, but by RAW even tieflings and drow can't see through the Darkness spell they pick up at level 5, so I took two levels of Warlock to get Devil's Sight, and my character specifically took the geniekind patron so she could disappear into her music box if she needed a cheap GTFO ability. She was tons of fun to play. Plus her high charisma played well into her backstory of being a dancer, my only dilemma was how much of a fustercluck it would be for her to take levels of bard.

2 weapon fighting is way better for rogue than a shield
