It would be great if you could find a non-sexist way of introduction for female star next time. No women make the cut for this list.

So much of what CineFix argues is supported by simple preferences and opinions rather than facts. Weak.

As for Wonka, the best thing about it was he insisted he be able to do the summer salt OR he would not take the role! Literally! It was not scripted (to walk out w a limp and them roll up to be fine). This was a condition he insisted on after reading the script! Makes it 10x better imo

Again, PLEASE, less talking more scene! I understand you are attempting to educate in this video which allows for some talking (as opposed to simple list videos where creators seem to think people are there for them and not the clips). However, I think these videos should be less than 50% content creator speaking. Allow us to take in the scene without distraction

Shout out to Miranda Priestly’s introduction from The Devil Wears Prada! Andy, like the audience, has no idea why everyone is so afraid, but we learn so much about Miranda’s character and reputation from everyone’s reactions as she slowly approaches the building into her office.

Also, of characters being introduced before we get to meet them, is Doc Brown from Back to the Future. We get so many pieces of information about him through his home and characters talking about him, only getting to finally see him alongside the DeLorean.
Similarly, a personal favourite of mine, Captain Haddock from The Adventures of Tintin. Before we meet him, we learn the backstory of a cursed family line, a story of failure. When we meet the Captain, we get to see the outcome of that curse: a broken, alcoholic man whom has lost almost everything but his pride as a sailor and the pride in his name (not that we learn that aspect right away).

Fudging it on 5/6. In order to build your dichotomy about men and women, you are almost exclusively comparing male LEADS with female supports. You omit the Ripleys and Beatrix Kiddos that reveal the cheat.

Best introductions... hmm, the Major from GitS SAC. I mean she is nude so not really wearing anything different but it becomes apparent in seconds she is not to be "fuked with". Memorable to say the least. The anime series kinda sell it better, Motoko knowing full well she is sexy :) I won't lie, sometimes she feels like some old bro/friend kinda dude though she might break something of mine if I ever told that to her.

PS.: From the anime movie, not the live action thing. No offense to SJ but she has no chance to sell the physically-imposing woman type. Just nope. Unless we are talking maybe Arise, the Major is anything but frail looking.

Hepburn in Lion in Winter ... that first look at her playing at a domestic role seated in the window, the pleasure flickering across her face as she rapidly calculates all that is to come, her first line ... and we know she is hyper intelligent, political, aware, and ready for the challenge.

Excellent list. I did think the intro of the Sundance Kid would be here. He talks the cardplayer out of drawing with him by making the cardplayer ask him to stay, then when the cardplayer asks him how good he is, the Kid shoots the man's gunbelt off, shoots the gun out of the holster then shoots the man's gun across the floor.

Thanks for including so many films to which Millennial and Gen-Z viewers may not have previously introduced. So many of these "10 Best" lists include only the films which are part of the current zeitgeist. By acknowledging such pics (and picks) as Stagecoach, M, The Third Man, Cool Hand Luke, Lolita, even Yojimbo and 7 Samurai, classically aged (or aging) treasures of the big screen, you are doing an immeasurable service to cinema culture. Among the many who profess to know film, you actually seem to do just that...KNOW, not profess to know.
