Survivor Mary Knight: Abused In Rituals By My Parents (Exclusive Documentary)

There are some instances of false memory. For those of us watching it is hard to believe.

To much of that is going on. And it ruins families. Not saying that is what this is. But it is possible.

I have researched this and there is more of the false memories coming forward than is talked about.

You know who was telling the truth and not believed? Them Menendez brothers. I was friends with them and tried to get help but nobody would believe me. All my friend were molested by their parent back them, too many to count, at least eight in a row. I avoided people after all that.

At 58 mins the man being interviewed has no idea what he is talking about. Children DO remember things that happen at 2 years old and they ARE damaged by whatever happens that is unkind or hurtful at that age. He seems to be in denial so I suspect he has abused children and told himself he was not hurting them as they won't be affected.

I remember alot when I was in a crib & being bathed in a kitchen sink PEOPLE CAN REMEMBER things from a young age..

She's really telling the truth and her memories are real. Remind me of

Here’s the thing that an alarming number of ppl don’t think of- when I was 18 I was in a horrific car accident. When I woke up in the hospital I had zero memory of any of it, yet the police report details finding me awake and tucked back up into my windshield/dashboard in my upside down car. They detailed I spoke to them, answered their questions, that I was frantically trying to get myself out of the car. I had unbuckled myself but the doors could not be opened without the jaws of life so i was stuck until someone finally saw the wreck and called 911. I was out in an orchard on a country type road. I was completely sober, had just gotten off work. I got something small to eat not 15-20 minutes before the accident. I had spinal injuries- yet the adrenaline allowed me to unbuckle and climb into the dash/windshield. It kept me awake and not reacting (YET) to my spinal injuries when first responders arrived. I was medi flighted to hospital after they got the door off and got me out. They reported the whole time I kept talking- sort of shell shocked- but responding and moving around trying to get out.


I have zero memory recall with regards to that accident. Despite my being awake and interacting. My brain PROTECTS me from remembering the trauma. Our brains are capable of protecting us from truly traumatic experiences.

My point is that yes, it is possible to block something out of your mind. I can say this for sure- if I had let’s just say for example walked away with no injuries, I would NEVER KNOW I went through that. I only knew because I was told, because I was in hospital, and because I got copies of the police reports.

Do not ever dismiss someone just because they cannot remember trauma.

Dr. Pankratz's gives off the vibe of someone who does a lot of "file sharing" in his spare time. I mean come on. Chris Hansen should just skip the middle man and go straight to HIS house.

Why would the loftus woman or the old woman goldstein not say im sorry to hear that. then ask how are you,etc etc tell me your story, are you ok, (trying to feel who you are) why go in with, i cant believe you, whats touching?, how do you know for sure?

That woman who tried invalidating the victim was disgusting. Saying it's just a joke when the dad said he was sexually attracted to his 13 year old? What a vile woman.

How are these women experts. Lady in red say therapy brings up fake problems but is a psychologist and has 0 people skills.

My heart goes out to every survivor out there. Not only are you survivors but heroes; for enduring what you’ve been through, reliving the flashbacks from random triggers almost on a daily basis, and still choosing LIFE (day in and day out). You give people like me hope.

It comes to you when you don't want it to, it could be anything, a wrapper from a McDonald's burger, a bottle of beer, looking out a certain window, walking up steps you have before........... always unexplainable and very uncomfortable and un-put together,,,,but they always come.....

That woman saying sexual touch isn’t the horror of horrors is crazy..it’s literally one of the most traumatizing things a family member can do to a child, what’s wrong with her? You only speak like that unless you yourself are an abuser imo

The fact that some of these people can say what they say OUT LOUD and stand by it is literally crazy.
Therapists really can make or break a case though and have to be sure to not use guiding or leading questions cause that will just be ammo for the naysayers.

Sorry ‘professors’, I myself had abuse when I was a kid from several men but did not remember them until I hit 40! Didn’t have therapy of any kind until AFTER that but maybe I had “suggestive therapy” BEFORE that and didn’t remember THAT till afterwards. I hate that you are saying “Marilyn” and others had “suggestive therapy” BEFORE remembering their abuse. SHAME ON YOU FOR DISMISSING THEIR ABUSE!!!!

Just because someone doesn’t remember being abused doesn’t mean the abuse didn’t change the course of their thoughts, their feelings, their behavior, their attachment to adult figures in their life.

😢All I can say is WOW! , as a survivor of sexual abuse, I do believe some of my memories are not exactly right, I remember, I know that it happened to me. And they are right,mental and sexual abuse wasn't talked about or believed as much I think, when it happened to me. And, my family actually did stay together, but thankfully nothing else happened in that area. How about, it turned into physical abuse on the whole family, so,he died tragically in 1998. And to be honest, it was sad,but,a huge relief

I've gone back and forth with believing this woman. I understand that some of the people who are leaving comments are themselves, survivors which of course is deeply saddening. This content can be a trigger for them which is reflected in some of their responses. That is understandable. Terrible things like child abuse unfortunately happens. I think society as a whole should work much harder at ending all forms of child abuse. Victims should feel safe enough to come forward. And they should be heard and believed. At the same time, a modern society should not take every allegation as fact unless there has been an extensive investigation into the allegations. So initially wanting to investigate ones accusations before drawing conclusions should not be looked at as a bad thing. Here, in this program you only had two sides. You had the people who strongly claimed that they were abused. On the other side, you had wackos who strictly denied any allegations. And to be honest, said a lot of shady and questionable things about child sexual abuse. Let's not lead too far in either of these camps. Because if we really do care about child abuse which I believe every one here does..than we should admit that this issue is very complex. And therefore we owe it to all survivors especially children to have a holistic approach when coming up with a solution for how we deal with this all too real issue.

If the abuse was going into teenage hood I find it hard that she wouldn't remember details of the abuse. I had a horrible neighbour at 3 that tried to abuse me and I ran and I remember that vividly. So if that happened to me as a teenager I would definitely remember that!

How are people still believing satanic panic stories from "recovered memories?"

Im sorry but who would lie about this for fun? No one wakes up and says TODAY I AM GOING TO SAY I WAS ABUSED FOR FUN. Like if they want attention there are sooooo many other ways to get it. I was never abused by my family but I was SA by an Indian guru. I dont understand why anyone would want to lie. I think unless they are seeking money I wouldn't question a VICTIM. Victims should b believed until they can be absolutely proven false. Period.

Happened once, by a naughty teenage neighbour, it lasts as a memory forever, but cant imagine being abused every day by father or mother, that is monstrous. It s demonic, pure evil

"A child under two doesn't remember anything. Anything that isn't painful, wouldn't hurt the child." the "psychologist" says, completely ignoring all we know about neglect and how it actually kills children to be neglected. It kills children to be neglected. What level of damage does violent and SA do then... Plus, just because a child is non-verbal doesn't mean they can't store memories. Completely unscientific claims. These are the same kind of people that claimed infants can't feel actual physical pain. Mind-blowing! I don't even have words for the lies these vile people are trying to push. And why does this "psychologist" still have his license.. These people are disgusting and dangerous.

This documentary is so important. It proves what we've always suspected, that the vast majority of the people who claim that recovered memories are false are abusers themselves. Of course they are.

Hat's off to Mary for staying so calm while talking to these monsters. I would have ended up in jail.

The more traumatic the experience the deepee it's engraved on the memory. Ask how many Holocaust survivors
