Being a Halo fan since 6/7 years and me now close to turning 31 soon. I've a fan literally since I was someone old enough to be a Spartan so I love Halo 1-6 looking forward to future Halo games and that will never change.

I honestly found Reach to have the most appealing customization of the standalone games. The armor was unlock able not through paywalls and each piece had lore that was well thought-out and made sense. Infinites art may be good, but 343/halo studios kind of ignored a lot of what bungle set up for them.

Best!? I would very humbly argue not best, a good customization. Its really stiff and pricey. Also a lot of them lack that military feeling I personally think better fits the Halo theme overall.

Base colors should have been free and easy to customize… if they wanted to have paid colors, they should have done them as templates and finishes. Every player should be able to change the colors of their shoulders, primary, ect. Then if you want to pay for fancier options, give them that

Well, I wouldn't say that it's the best customization experience, and it took everything Halo fans had to get it to the way it is now, I am very hopeful for the future of halo infinite and halo as a whole.

I’m gonna stop you right there. Go back to halo reach and look at the customization it’s so much more free. It’s like an open world game. Shoulder knees visor armor effects.. we had it all son. Halo infinite isn’t free it’s a whole suit with set colors bring freedom back.

Looks like cut content they planned to drip feed onto the store… but they failed in the launch, the bugs, the progression and overall game engine to really pump out such content.

You have have to pay for 90% of it. That alone makes Infinites customization a lousy af excuse.

I 100% disagree. Halo reach, 3, MCC allowed you to earn the armors. The original releases allowed you to earn the armors. You pay $60 for the mid 8 hour campaign, get very few items to unlock through leveling up and instead have to grind out 20 tiers of a free battle pass for 1 armor or pay $20 for it in the store. It is actually functionally the worst armor system in any halo game to date.

Reach and halo 3 had the best customization..... More does not mean better. Also infinite unlocks are random and not earned by merit or skill

I hate shaders, i preferred custom colors. They just wanted to farm off of us just so they can make another Halo cash grab later and repeat it

You have to pay for 90% of it, cores are garbage and restrictive, you can't customize emblems besides a couple preset colors and you can't even customize your armor color realistically lol. Armor coatings don't count either. Wanna know what armor colors I've been rocking since Reach? White primary with black secondary, which in Reach was a nice Battle worn texture as well. We don't even have something as simple as that in Infinite YEARS after launch. Sure there's stuff that's close but it's either ruined with extra colors like orange or red on it or ridiculously noticeable patterns like that weird Mirage core coating with the weird looking tech suit. Halo Reach is still the undisputed king of armor customization. Not even close. I don't care if Infinite has a quadrillion combination possibilities, doesn't matter if you can't get what you actually want.

really annoys me seeing concept art that actually seems to have a proper balance of the old and new halo art, yet they still chose to make some of the most dog ass armor like the ww1 stuff or that weird cyborg core.

I like how they use none of their damn concepts just like the Halo 4-5 days. At least the final ones in Infinite look good. The color system in 4-5 make their armors look like shit.
