Carmax wanted 44k for a used Maverick with 50k miles and fewer options than what Ford was offering online, brand new, for 27k. I can't imagine why they're not making money.

Carvana, vroom, etc...these guy all over price their vehicles...I like the convenience they are selling...but it isn't worth near what they are asking. Vehicles tgat are $26k on the street are $30k on these online sellers sites...then you top it off with $1.5 more for deliver😅😅😅

crazyyy, comparing how much you'll pay vs how much you could sell one for. these dealer ships are ripping us off! lets also ignore they have employees to pay and rent to cover.

I appreciate their inspections and 30-day return. They also offer a decent free warranty for up to 4,000 miles. I don’t want a hassle, and don’t mind paying for it.

My guess is they will file for re-organization and then try to sell a little bit below what they are doing now and stretch out to continue what they are doing.

Carvana bought my 2016 BMW for $24,200 (50k miles) and listed it for $26,900. They have a purchase pending. Carmax only offered me $19k.

Me thinking $8,000 would be way too much.

Wouldn't every dealer like to not "haggle or negotiate"? Seems like it is just a scam so Carmax can overcharge buyers and doesn't have to worry about hiring salesmen who know how to negotiate.

Just curious what a decent markup for the dealer is if anybody knows?

Well, here we are over eight months later and car prices have NOT come down.

You could......y'know.....not buy their stuff. Learn something about cars, buy something from marketplace and make it nice.

Just incase anyone wants to know, you are better off price area getting a new car. One the interest rate is lower. The best is to buy a used car from the owner out right. The other option get the money from your bank, that loan is usually better.

They buy low sell high. I know first hand. They tried to get my truck for 1/4 of what it was worth, I said no and told a few people and in three days it was sold for a fair price. When I looked around at what they had and price, I looked at other options and found what I was looking at with lower mileage and cleaner, one owner for a little over what carfax was asking.

Who in the hell is dumb enough to buy a $40,000 car there’s nothing worse than a car payment. They’ve cut half the country out of buying cars because they’ve gotten so expensive.

You would have to give me that Equinox. Have you seen the reliability ratings on that thing.
