Brady, to his credit, actually admitted he done it, and was as mad as a March Hare. Myra was always out the room when Ian went mental and killed. She had a knack for that it seems.

Sadly we have now met someone as bad as them. She has been deemed even worse than Myra Hindley herself. Ian Brady too. Lucy Letby killed 7 babies/young children and attempted to kill another 7 while working in hospital and is now serving a whole life order

What is with killer couples, the women just seem to be able to go "oh i was manipulated into it" and they get less punishment its infuriating. Like why was myra given a funeral and ian wasnt? Both of them should of been dumped in the sea and forgot about. Same qith paul bernado and karla homolka. Karla got convicted of manslaughter after saying she was forced into the acts which is completely ridiculous.

I was a little boy when all this happened just a baby at the time and I can't seem to watch enough of these documentaries on it but I do understand why she was hated even more then him she lured them kids he wouldn't have had the same ease of getting victims without raising suspicious as she did and after listening to her on the words she chooses to use (it's an a tors) voice ) but in the one documentary when she's explaining her meeting him and her involvement she chose words very carefully to create the idea thst she was somehow forced into taking part when nothing can be further from the truth ,she was a willing active participant and was present at each killing he would have Mads sure she got her hands dirty .She tries to distance herself from any actual killing ,even when she says in the one documentary I was led down the stone stairway by a few police people not officers not coos not bobbies not detectives People she said it's to give the impression of innocence hiw naive she was at the time that's a tiny example of her choosing words to diminish her involvement or sound naive to what she had done .And to anyone that thought she deserved parole or not spend her entire life in prison I can tell you that she conned you to this woman was evil ,the second he mentioned killing a kid she could and should have went to cops like any normal human being would have more so a woman but she didn't and she maintained contact with him sharing sick in code letters with him about killing other kids it wasn't till he started withdrawing from her did she claim it was her that cut off contact if she was forced or coerced in any way she woukd have never stayed in contact once jailed but she didn't she enjoyed killing theses no doubt in my mind and they would have killed 100 more kids or anyone that tickled their fancy if they were not caught and David that turned them in was a hero and didn't deserve to be treated any other way by people he saved countless lives and pit them two monsters in prison to die there by his actions and didn't deserve the treatment he got from everyone he was an innocent victim to

This is my second attempt at trying to watch this. The evil of these two people is incomprehensible. (I think that's the word I'm looking for). I can remember London Weekend Television showing a Weekend World story back in 1978. It was broadcast around lunchtime on a Sunday. After watching it, I was only 16 at the time, I couldn't sleep properly for over a week. It disturbed me so much.

As I've mentioned on your Yorkshire Ripper video, I was in Leeds with family last month, but our port of entry to the UK was Manchester Airport. We took the Trans Pennine Express to Leeds, and I'll never forget seeing the Saddleworth Moor looming over us ominously. I didn't immediately recognize it, my Nana told me it was "the Moor" when I pointed it out to her thinking it was like a majestic mountain. Seeing how huge it is firsthand, I'm not surprised that Keith's remains have still never been found.

I remember the time of the moors murders it would have been hard to miss it. It was all anyone could talk about as none could believe the depraved horror. However this is the first time l have actually heard it all. I’m sure l have heard the tape though. Cannot remember how or why maybe it was the transcript. No way should they have been hanged everyday a nightmare for them. A Lord someone can’t remember his name campaigned for Hindley to be freed as she was a Christian and had rue remorse. He visited her regularly. Somehow she managed to have a girlfriend as well. I vividly the remember the outrage this caused. Lord Longford just came into my mind.
Thank you for your in depth view and kindness to the victims and their families.

I’m watching the Documentary The Moors Murders on Prime and this is beyond sad. Anyone who murders innocent children is a Evil monster the little boys such horror. The detectives found pictures and a recording of 10 year old Leslie pleading and begging for her mom and dad and that she wouldn’t tell they had her tied up naked I believe the detectives were very unprofessional by allowing and telling the mother to listen so you see this mother who’s in her 70s remembering when the detectives pushed start this mother is traumatized by her little girl screaming in a panic for her mom the mother is sobbing. All these children were raped, tortured and brutally murdered and the woman lured the children in the vehicle back than children were trusting of woman. I can barely stomach the horror these children and their families went through. These monsters are why there’s a Hell.

Whenever a couple kill it is always blamed on the man and his influencing the woman. Sorry but i call BS on that. Hindley and others like her are sick twisted creatures that need no ones influence to kill and enjoy doing it.

Suggestion: Richard Marquette murder of Joan Rae Caudle, June 1962: paralyzed Portland , Oregon with fear until his capture in California a week later. Gun stores did a brisk business; a run on dead bolts.

Mr Caudle called to say /his wife Joan Rae was missing.
Out all night without a trace/ and lately cold as herring.
She'll not be home again tonight, /she'll not be home forever.
Dick Marquette has stole her heart /and packed it in the freezer.
etc. seven stanzas

A civic minded parole board released him in the seventies. He immediately murdered another woman east of Salem. I believe he is still housed in the Oregon State Penitentiary in that city.

Psychopathy is a personality disorder, not a mental health disorder. Nor does it mean they’re incapable of making rational, intelligent choices. Psychopaths are notoriously cunning and strategic. So the fact he/they didn’t kill the neighbours daughter is no surprise and doesn’t indicate lack of a psychopathic personality, the opposite. They took her to the Moors and had her sit, drink wine and picnic with them, all the while knowing, her unknowing in her innocence, she was potential prey, if they so chose, and she sat on the graves of their former victims-Brady was all about control and power and that is demonstrative of that. Psychopaths are more than capable of controlling their impulses until they’ve got every detail meticulously planned to avoid mistakes-sociopaths are not, and will make irrational and impulsive choices and will be more disorganised.
The only mistake he made was incorrectly judging David Smith’s and his conscience-and that was down to Brady’s arrogance and his self belief that he was a god.

I'm loving this channel. I like the personal intersections that make it feel more connected than just another documentary. I'm an avid listener to the podcast timesuck which is hosted by an American stand up comedian, Dan cummins. There's a Ton of topics of interest ranging from cults and conspiracy theories (don't worry, it's about finding out the truth and origins behind them and not just pushing bullshit) to historic events and true crime. The topic library is huge with dark events and more serial killers than you could imagine. If you ever need some topic ideas I'd recommend it as all the sources are listed and there's a huge catalog of already existing episodes.
Thank you for the great content. It's reaching me across the pond in rural Ohio quite nicely
