I am using my seagate 1TB EX HDD since one year. There is 700GB data. Suddenly 7days back it gave beep sound. Light gone off. Then I ejected through safe removal process. Then again I attached with laptop and light is still off. But can feel the motor vibration by touching external hard drive. In my computer it is showing nothing. Went to disk manager... Then it is showing " Disk 1, unknown, 931.51 GB, not initialised, unallocated." in the properties it is showing that disk is working properly, partition style - not applicable ..... How to save the data of the HDD..?

I scanned the entire Disk. And NO ntfs partitions showed up. It was just one Disk with 1tb size no file system? How do I recover the partitions if it shows that?

If anyone had their SD card in their android device previously, put it back in your android, format it via the settings (make it an external drive) and then simply eject it. Took me forever to realise despite it being so simple (dunno about recovering data I am no expert).
